Kylie Madigan

Kylie is currently pursuing a degree in speech pathology at St. Petersburg College. She is a graduate of Osceola Fundamental High School where she participated in National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honors Society, and Tri-M music honor society. Kylie has a desire to become a speech pathologist to work on improving verbal communication skills in pediatric patients. Kylie is under the supervision of Doctor Sorkin and Kelsey Egan, COVT, a board certified Vision Therapist. Kylie's favorite part about working as a vision therapist assistant is being a part of each individual's journey to more confidence and self sufficiency when their visual system improves. Outside of the office, Kylie spends most of her time doing school work, spending time on the water, and relaxing with her dog.

Richard E. Sorkin

Dr. Sorkin is an optometric physician, board certified in vision development and vision therapy. In addition to working with patients, Dr. Sorkin has served as Faculty at Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry, in a variety of positions including Instructor, Assistant Professor and Interim Chief of the Pediatrics & Binocular Vision Service. He has taught hundreds of optometry students the importance of Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. Dr. Sorkin provides in-depth testing for the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems that often interfere with reading, learning and other activities of daily living. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Extension Program Foundation, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). Dr. Sorkin truly enjoys helping his patients overcome the visual roadblocks to their success and has been providing this type of vision care to patients for over 15 years.
