Aptivate is a UK based NGO that provides IT services for international development and other sectors that fit with our values. We believe in the power of knowledge and communication to alleviate poverty, suffering and conflict, and in the right of every individual to inform and be informed... In 2006, Aidworld changed its name to Aptivate. Since then, we have expanded our sector focus to broadly cater towards providing support for international development initiatives. We work with other non-profits, charities, NGOs, facilitators and trainers, web / software developers as technical consultants. We also provide hosting services, on a wide range of projects. We are based in the UK, and work in-country where appropriate... To date, we have provided consultancy for projects funded by DTI, DFID, WHO and UNFAO. Some of our projects have included training rural women in Zambia in IT usage; Creating an online data capture system for maternal health indicators for the Clinton Health Access..
