Alex Collins

Alex joined Oakley in 2007 and has over 24 years of private equity investment and operational experience Alex's focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution, and investment advice. Alex began his career at GE Capital in 1995 before being seconded to Advent International for two years as Associate Director. He subsequently joined Henderson Private Capital as Principal. Alex joined Oakley in 2007 from Wharfedale Capital where he was a Partner involved in purchasing secondary assets. Alex holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economic History from Union College, New York.

Amit Joshi

Amit joined Oakley in 2020 and focuses primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice. Prior to joining Oakley, Amit worked at Rothschild & Co, where he focused on corporate and M&A advisory and debt and equity capital markets in the Natural Resources and Industrials sectors. Amit is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the London School of Economics.

David Brickell

David joined Oakley in 2013 and has over 20 years of principal investing, M&A and operational experience. David's focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice. David started his career at Credit Suisse's Principal Transaction Group in 1998 in New York and London, before moving to Morgan Stanley in London where he focused on media and telecoms M&A and private equity. He then moved to Candover, where he was an Investment Director involved in a wide range of prospective, completed and exited deals and he also jointly set up Candover's Asian operations in Hong Kong. He subsequently spent four years as the co-founder and COO of a SaaS internet start-up before joining Oakley in 2013. David holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD Business School in France/Singapore, and an MA (Oxon) in Law from Pembroke College, Oxford.

David Keech

David joined Oakley in 2010 and primarily focuses on portfolio management across Oakley's funds. During his time at Oakley, David has worked with a number of Oakley's digital assets, including Emesa, Verivox, Facile, Casa and atHome, as well as Inspired, ACE Education and Bright Stars in the Education sector. Prior to joining Oakley, David worked at KPMG Corporate Finance for four years advising on mid-market M&A transactions in the Consumer and Healthcare markets in the UK and Western Europe. David holds the ICAEW's Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance and an MA (Oxon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Magdalen College, Oxford.

David Till - Founder

David Till co-founded the Oakley Capital Group in 2002 with Peter Dubens. David plays a key role within the group and has overall responsibility for operations, finance, due diligence, compliance and fund formation. David worked with Peter Dubens on the development of 365 Media Group plc and Pipex Communications plc where he led all the 26 acquisitions and disposals between 2002 and 2007. In 2007 following the sale of both 365 Media Group plc and Pipex Communications plc, Peter and David launched Oakley Capital Private Equity. David holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Essex University. He started his career in the British Army, then later qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and worked in industry as a finance director, before returning to the profession holding senior M&A roles.

Jan Woods

Jan joined Oakley in 2022 and has 32 years' experience helping businesses develop and execute impactful HR strategies. At Oakley, Jan is responsible for helping our portfolio companies create future-ready organisations focussing on Organisation Design, Talent Strategies, and Team Performance. Jan advises management teams on how to attract and retain the best human talent, and build strong systems and cultures. Previously, Jan was a Director at a consumer-focused investor private equity firm for over ten years. Before that, she held a series of senior, international HR roles at PepsiCo and IBM. Jan has a BA in Theology and an MBA in Business Administration.

Jonathan Clapham - Chief Investment Officer

Jonathan joined Oakley in 2015 and focuses primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice. During his time at Oakley, Jonathan has worked on Oakley's investments in Casa & atHome, Dexters, Idealista and TechInsights. Prior to joining Oakley, Jonathan worked at Canaccord Genuity, advising mid-market private equity houses and corporate clients on a variety of public and private company M&A transactions. Jonathan started his career in PwC's Corporate Finance team. Jonathan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Manchester University.

Peter Dubens is the founder and Managing Partner of the Oakley Capital Group, a privately-owned asset management group comprising Private Equity and Venture Capital. Peter founded Oakley Capital in 2002 to be a best of breed entrepreneurially driven UK investment house, creating an ecosystem that supports the companies Oakley Capital invests in whether they are early stage companies or established businesses. Entrepreneur Peter Dubens started Oakley in 2002 with a vision to become the ideal partner for ambitious founders and management teams, raising a first fund alongside David Till in 2007.

Rebecca Gibson

Rebecca joined Oakley in 2014 and has over 22 years of private equity investment experience. Rebecca's responsibilities include managing the investment committee and the investment team, as well as leading the Stakeholder Engagement Team. Rebecca also has some portfolio responsibilities and oversees the portfolio review process. Prior to joining Oakley, Rebecca was a partner at Cinven. During her 12-year career at Cinven, she led and worked on deals in the healthcare, consumer and service sectors across Europe. Prior to joining Cinven, Rebecca spent five years working as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in the UK and South Africa. Rebecca is Chair of Level20, the not-for-profit organisation established to inspire women to join and succeed in the European private equity industry. She is also a member of the BVCA's U.K. and European Capital Committee, which represents the interests of the BVCA's mid-market members who invest primarily in mid-market deals, including buyouts, buy-ins and growth capital. Rebecca holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

Sam Fenton-Whittet

Sam has worked on Oakley's investments in Time Out Market, IU Group, Schülerhilfe, Inspired, Ocean Technologies Group, Bright Stars, Affinitas Education, Thomas's London Day Schools, Phenna Group, and Steer Automotive. Prior to joining Oakley, Sam worked in HM Treasury in a number of roles including as Private Secretary and Speechwriter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and previously as the senior advisor responsible for coordinating the government's £40bn annual capital budget. Sam holds an MA (Oxon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford.

Steven Tredget

Steven joined Oakley in 2017 and has more than 18 years of investment banking experience. Steven's focus is fund raising, communications and investor relations for Oakley and its portfolio companies. Prior to joining Oakley, Steven was a founding partner of investment bank Liberum Capital. Over 9 years he raised equity capital for hundreds of companies and advised on public market listings. He began his career in 1997 at Collins Stewart, where he held equity research and sales roles. Steven holds a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University.

Tom Twiney

Tom joined Oakley in 2014 and focuses primarily on portfolio management across Oakley's funds. During his time at Oakley, Tom has worked with portfolio companies across multiple sectors, including North Sails, Parship Elite Group and Time Out in Consumer, Damovo and WebPros in Technology and ACE Education. Prior to joining Oakley Capital, Tom was Head of Commercial Finance at Daisy Group plc and has experience of pricing, project finance, budgeting and monthly reporting. Tom is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics with Computer Science from Durham University.

Valero Domingo

Valero joined Oakley in 2021 and has over 15 years of principal investing, M&A and operational experience. Valero's focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice. Valero started his investing career in 2008 at the private equity team of 3i Group before moving to JP Morgan to develop the European market for Highbridge, their alternative investments fund. In 2016, he joined Charme Capital Partners, where he participated in a wide variety of private equity deals and established the Madrid office. Valero holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, as well as an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada after being awarded a full grant to study at the University of California, Irvine (USA).

Vicente Castellano

Vicente joined Oakley in 2017 and has over 17 years of experience in managing, developing and coordinating global leading retail brands. Vicente's focus at Oakley is to lead and develop the portfolio companies, with a current focus on North Sails Apparel and the Iconic BrandCo. Prior to joining Oakley, Vicente worked as Managing Director at Hackett London, where he managed the development and growth of the brand to become an international player. Prior to this, Vicente was Licensees and International Director for Pepe Jeans London and Director at Coach Europe JV and had been Board Member in Pepe Jeans Group since 2005. During these 17 years Vicente has actively participated in the growth and performance of the group and been involved in three successful buy outs from different Private Equity Groups. Vicente holds a BA in Business Administration and Finance from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and was part of INSEAD Young Managers Programme.
