With 22 years of experience in Training and Tertiary Education, Adrian has worked across multiple industries, including Civil Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electricity Supply and Mechanical Engineering. Adrian has spent the last five years with ATNZ as an Account Manager and more recently as the Northern Regional Lead. Adrian has a passion for seeing learners achieve and make a difference.

Ben Julian

ATNZ has been a large part of Ben's life. Ben started engineering as an ATNZ apprentice. He trained well and was eventually promoted into management. After taking a year off to look after family Ben re-joined ATNZ as an Account Manager, before being promoted to Regional Lead and then National Manager. Ben represents ATNZ as part of the MOE hui around the current NCEA change plan, speaking from the point of view of industry players.

Fiona Kingsford - Chairman

Fiona has recently started as CEO of Plunket. Prior to this Fiona spent six years as CEO of Competenz, an organisation which, over thirteen years, she was instrumental in transforming to one based on customer centricity, product innovation, technology adoption and enablement. Fiona holds an advanced diploma in Human Resources and an Executive MBA from the University of Auckland.

John provides extensive experience as a CEO and Board Director in the field of tertiary education and industry training in New Zealand. John was the CEO of Competenz and previously the Chair of ATNZ and of the Industry Training Federation.

She holds an MBA, is Syndicate Chair of the CEO Institute, holds positions on the boards of three NZ companies and was part of the 3P Learning leadership team during one of the biggest tech IPOs in Australia.

Prior to joining ATNZ in 2022, Mark has held several senior management roles with various tertiary education organisations spearheading initiatives that resulted to positive educational, quality and commercial outcomes.

Mike Lehan

Mike has recently started in the role of Contracts Manager for a local Tauranga-based construction company Bishop Building Ltd. Providing commercial overview and project management, he is also playing a strategic part in the company's growth. Prior to this, he was the General Manager of Page Macrae Engineering, also based in Tauranga, his tenure there spanning 20 years. He has over 30 years' experience in engineering and construction holds an engineering trade qualification as well a certificate in mechanical engineering (NZCE).

Tupara Morrison

Tupara Morrison (Ngāti Whakaue) has joined the board in August 2022. Tupara brings over 30 years of executive and governance experience in both the public and private sectors across the health, tertiary education, research and innovation, tourism, iwi development, and arts and culture sectors. Hailing from Rotorua, Tupara is from the Morrison and Mitchell whānau of Ngāti Whakaue (Ngāti Hurungaterangi, Ngāti Pukaki koromatua hapū). He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a member of the Institute of Directors, and an accounting and finance graduate from Massey University. Tupara is employed by Kāinga Ora as the Te Kurutao Regional Manager for Northland and Auckland. Tupara has well-developed networks in several key sectors nationally and has strong relationships with local Government bodies and central Government Ministers, Ministries and agencies. Tupara's technical skills are in governance, financial management, Māori and bicultural strategy, business development and strategic partnerships. Tupara recently took up the role of Head of Maori Development at Air New Zealand.
