Born in San Francisco, CA, Lizzy (she/her) grew up obsessed with horses, but they weren't accessible to her until later in life. In high school in Orlando, FL, she started taking riding lessons and volunteering with a therapeutic riding program. During her summers in college, she worked as the riding director at a Girl Scout camp in Southern California. She went on to live in Philly for 10 years, where she worked in the small animal world - at doggy daycares and a grooming salon, as a dog walker and pet sitter, and as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She is thrilled that moving to Hunterdon County in 2020 has afforded her the opportunity to expand her animal world beyond cats and dogs. She has started volunteering at Baling Twine and Hope, a farm sanctuary in Frenchtown, and has acquired 14 chickens and 4 ducks in addition to her 2 cats. In her free time, Lizzy sings with the Chestnut Street Singers, a Philadelphia chamber chorus, spends time with her partner and family, and loves to cook, try new breweries, spend time outdoors, and travel.
