Jason Anthony

We met up with Jason Anthony and chatted to him about how he initially joined AMC Cookware. Can you believe his story spans three generations, starting with his dad who joined our company back in 1971! As the current AMC provincial manager for the Western Cape, Jason followed in his father's footsteps by starting his career at the tender age of one when he attended his first AMC conference. "I was raised as an AMC child and soon it became a part of my life," he said. Initially, Jason joined AMC to support his father who was ill at the time, but, with AMC in his blood, he soon excelled and climbed the ladder from AMC consultant to the position of provincial manager he holds today. Jason has also travelled extensively with AMC to places like Bali, China, Portugal, Egypt, Morocco, India, Thailand and Hong Kong. And the Anthony tradition of selling AMC cookware is set to live on. According to Jason, his 7-year-old son is already excited at the prospect of becoming a consultant one day. On what he enjoy's most about working for AMC, Jason responded; "I believe in the awesome company and most of all, I believe in our product. The best part of working for AMC is meeting new people and building a family because we at AMC are a family, and we make our family successful."

Lutchmee Iyer

Lutchmee, a consultant from KwaZulu-Natal has been a fan of AMC ever since she bought her first set from an AMC consultant in 1977 and shares her success story with us. "After being retrenched in 2010 from my full-time job I was in dire need of an income. Seeing an AMC kiosk in a mall got me thinking that direct selling could be just what I needed to start earning a salary." She immediately contacted AMC and signed up. Using her own set of AMC Lutchmee, started hosting demonstrations with friends and family. "Although I had no sales experience, I quickly picked up that the key to selling is a light touch and a genuine passion. The goods are high quality and come with a lifetime guarantee." In her very first month Lutchmee, arranged 16 demonstrations and her commission from those was R10 000 - double the amount she earned at her previous job. This only encouraged her further and soon she started displaying at a weekend kiosk and recruited 10 new AMC consultants. In 2013 Lutchmee, finished top in the country and won an overseas trip to Morocco - a dream come true! "I have also travelled around South Africa with AMC. My husband and I both work on my business in AMC and together we make enough money to pay expenses and take care of our four elders."

Lutfiya Khan

Lutfiya Khan joined AMC in 1998 as a part-time Consultant. She is now the Area Manager at our Queensburgh Consultant Centre. Lutifya shared her AMC story with us of how her profession become her passion and how she achieved her biggest dream of buying a home. My AMC journey began 22 years ago, when I was recruited by Reetha Singh as a part-time consultant at Queensburgh. In 2000 I attended my first AMC Gala and I was blown away. I will never forget that huge cheque on the stage and I never looked back. In 2005 I was appointed as the Area Manager at Queensburgh Consultant Centre. Immediately my life changed, I went from a Home Executive to managing people.Thanks to the Almighty and AMC, we were able to travel locally and internationally. With AMC we were fortunate to visit countries like Portugal, Spain, Madrid, Egypt, India and Thailand. AMC helped us educate our kids and send them to university.

Nomsa Mahlangu

Nomsa Mahlangu shares her inspiring AMC story with us, and how her decision to become a full-time AMC Consultant changed her life, and that of her family, for the better. In 2005 Nomsa worked at a restaurant in the same building where an AMC Sales Centre was located. Every day she noticed AMC sales consultants come and go and decided to enquire about becoming a sales consultant. Shortly after, Nomsa joined the AMC family as a part-time sales consultant. "Within a year after joining AMC, my full-time employer decided to change the management and they had to let some of the staff go. I was one of them. I was worried, but decided to focus on AMC and make it my new full-time career," she said. Today, Nomsa has no regrets about her decision. In a way her retrenchment was a blessing in disguise as she's able to manage her own time to focus on the important things in life. "I know that my job is secure and I am my own manager, which means I am available for my children when they have school events."

Reetha Singh

Reetha Singh chats to us about joining AMC and how hard work and perseverance always pays off. After many years of selling AMC, she is still as excited as ever about her job! Reetha began her AMC career in 1994. She has gone from strength to strength growing in confidence as she climbed the rank to become AMC's provincial manager in KwaZulu-Natal - a position she still holds today. "I was the top AMC consultant for many years and ascribe that to the fact that I had confidence in myself and my abilities. I worked hard and was determined to make my AMC career a success story," she said. Reetha's rise in the company happened by chance when she was asked to fill in as branch manager while the manager at the time was unable to fulfill his duties. She took to the position like a fish to water and went on to be promoted to AMC area manager for Chatsworth. The rest, as they say, is history. According to Reetha, the best part of working at AMC is the ongoing support and encouragement from the company's head office. She encourages anyone to join the AMC family for a life-changing experience.

Romona Chetty

This month we share Romona Chetty's story. Romona is a celebrated AMC Superstar. Here she shares more about her AMC journey. When did you start selling AMC? My journey with AMC began in 2007. I started off as a consultant at AMC Queensburgh and became the number one consultant at the branch. What has helped you the most on your AMC journey? I believe that my hard work, dedication, tenacity and resilience have taken me to the top. I will never give up. If I encounter a setback I come back stronger. What has been the highlight of your AMC journey thus far? My biggest highlight has been traveling locally and internationally. This is something that I could never have done without AMC. Thank you AMC for my first plane trip - you have changed my life in so many ways! How has selling AMC cookware changed your life? AMC has allowed me to do things that I never thought imaginable. I have educated my children at private schools and tertiary institutions. Selling AMC has helped me reach my dream of owning my own vehicle, something I will always be grateful for. How do you manage to reach new customers? I trade everyday so my customer base is always growing. Over the years I have built up relationships with my customers. I am always honest and transparent with them and they are loyal to me in return. My customers eventually become family to me. Do you have any sales tips you are willing to share? Not every month is going to be great. Don't give up. Use it as motivation to try harder next month. Never forget that recruiting is the lifeblood of our business. Recruit as much as you can and be sure to hold your recruits' hands and never let go!

Shanine Peters

Shanine Pieters, has been with AMC for over 2 decades and is currently an AMC Sales Consultant. Till this day she says selling AMC was the best decision she has ever made. Looking back over my 20 year career with AMC, it seems like I'm watching a movie. Before AMC all I had was a matric certificate, and I was a housewife. But look at the income I earn today! We've travelled overseas so many times, and the benefits are endless. I am very grateful to AMC for giving everyone the same opportunity with no discrimination. All the things I wanted, like the freedom to work in my own time and to ensure I am with my children, has been possible. My proudest moment is my daughter receiving her B Com degree in Forensic Accounting. If it wasn't for AMC I wouldn't have been able to afford the University fees, accommodation and books. After 4 years of studying, I am also proud to say we paid for everything in cash and she has no student debt that she needs to pay back.

Trudy Vanessa Joseph-Chetty

Trudy Vanessa Joseph-Chetty was our Top Consultant for 2018 and 2019. Trudy joined AMC in 2014, but wishes she had done so ten years earlier. She shares her emotional AMC success story with us. Before joining AMC, I often spent time with our family friend, Amina Shaik, at her AMC exhibition displays and shows. I had no intention of becoming a consultant, but she invited me as her partner to a provincial AMC Awards ceremony. That evening felt like an Oscar Awards ceremony, and I knew I also wanted the free gifts and holiday incentives. I signed up as an AMC Consultant in September 2014 as her recruit. I started making sales through my family and friends by doing demonstrations. I could not believe the amount of commission I earned by doing this. Once I started my own displays in 2015, I earned double tickets to Cape Town and Malaysia. In 2017 my husband lost his business and I was in a major financial situation. This is when I learned that AMC Cookware was a company that cares about its people. My manager, Reetha Singh, assisted me greatly during this time. Within three months I freed off all my debt and I earned almost R120 000. I even earned a single ticket to Sri Lanka! And then I got my groove back in 2018. I promised myself I would bring the Top Consultant trophy to my manager Reetha Singh. At AMC's 50th birthday bash in Sun City I was the Top Consultant in South Africa - I was treated like a princess at the Gala Awards ceremony, receiving my trophy and a R20 000 cash prize! I want to say thank you to AMC for changing my life and giving me financial freedom. And my advice for the future Consultants is don't think twice about joining this amazing company! Write your own paycheck, enjoy awesome holiday incentives, prize giveaways and much more. I wish I had joined 10 years earlier, but better late than never! Trudy's journey with AMC started in 2014 and she has been on the road to success ever since. Despite a number of personal setbacks she has kept going with dogged determination. Her tenacity and hard work have resulted in huge success, evident in her being awarded Top Consultant 5 years in a row. Trudy shared some of the highlights of her journey so far as well as a few secrets of her success. AMC cookware has changed Trudy's life. She has been able to grow financially to the point where she could purchase a beautiful home for herself and her family. Trudy values the recognition she has received from AMC whether it be in diamonds, cash or a car. It's this recognition that has helped to keep Trudy motivated and pushing forward. When it comes to customers Trudy has a loyal base that she communicates with regularly. And she exhibits for half the month to gain new customers. Even if she only sees four new customers during this time, she ensures none leave before she has promoted AMC. Her focus is on the quality of the contact she has with each potential customer, educating them on the features of AMC and the benefits of using our cookware. Trudy encourages new recruits to understand their motivation behind joining AMC, to set their goals and then go for it. She stresses the importance of building a loyal customer base that will support you when times are tough. She also encourages consultants to make use of the customer incentives offered by AMC. Use the free gifts as sales incentives, rely on AMC and all that is on offer. It is clear that Trudy has a wonderful support system in her family and they have celebrated her wins alongside her and helped her rise to every challenge. Zurena Marcus

Zurena Marcus, our Lansdowne Sales Manager refers to her journey with AMC as phenomenal. She started as a Sales Consultant in October 2016 and after two years was appointed in a Sales Manager position. Here she shares her AMC success story: My phenomenal journey with AMC started as a Sales Consultant in October 2016. I firmly believe that I was at the right place at the right time. I received my first commission payout in November 2016 and this allowed me to supplement the shortfall for my son's operation. I immediately decided to start setting short, medium and long term goals. I wanted to double every month's earnings and achieve each monthly incentive. In my first year as a Consultant I managed to achieve all these goals and I was the top AMC Consultant, earning myself a double ticket to travel to Sri Lanka. In my second year I was appointed to the position as Area Manager at the Lansdowne Consultant Centre. With the exceptional support structure of the AMC family, I managed to achieve the following awards: Highest percentage growth by branch, Top Recruiting Sales Centre and Top Performing Sales Centre. I also kept focused on my goals, worked diligently and consistently with my team but more importantly - my family support structure was key.
