As one of London's leading Rapid Application Developers (RAD), Brendon's role as Chief Information Officer is seminal as he is responsible for the software development of the "technology" algorithm. He has developed a wide variety of systems for internet start-ups, the oil industry and banks as well as his innovation work in the areas of virtual smart grids and solar irradiation monitoring. His algorithmic oil exploration software consolidates and visualises the surface exploration results that underpin ANE's technology advantage.

Richard Jones

Richard is a Cambridge-educated lawyer and commercial negotiator, who has spent his entire career working in the energy industry. This includes 21 years with BP and six years as Legal Manager and Company Secretary of BP Exploration Limited. He opened and managed BP's first office in Russia in 1990 and did the same for Linklaters in 1993. Since 1997, he has acted as a legal consultant to Texaco and a number of successful AIM listed energy companies, including, Nautical Petroleum and Quadrise. He has been involved, often as lead negotiator, in hydrocarbon acquisitions and disposals in most parts of the world, including southern Africa.

Stephen Larkin - CEO, Founder

Stephen Larkin is a chartered accountant by training, with a track record of technical innovation in the African energy industry. He started his career with traditional finance roles in Unilever, GE Capital and British Airways in the UK. In 2004, he returned to his native South Africa, when he co-founded Nyper Networks, an industrial IT innovation company in mining sector, where he developed a track record in innovation using algorithms, rugged IT systems and Wi-Fi connectivity. In 2008, he advised the government on the creation of the solar industry in South Africa. It was on the strength of this work that he was invited by the Namibian government to develop a National Stranded Natural Gas to Solar Strategy for that country funded by the UN. This work led to the forming of ANE to develop the surface exploration algorithm to solve Namibia's energy crisis. Our CEO, Stephen Larkin, weighed in on the tremendous Luiperd discovery by Total in South African waters. He told @CapeTalk that the find has delivered an 11th hour life-line to Mossgas.
