Rodrigo is a Senior Associate at Gavin Parsons and Associates and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (BArts) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Music with Distinction (BMus) from Western Sydney University (for which he was awarded the Dean's Medal). Rodrigo is an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced lawyer with expertise in commercial law and litigation, with a particular emphasis on insolvency law, insurance law and taxation law. Throughout his career, Rodrigo has conducted both litigious and non-litigious disputes in a range of Australian jurisdictions with a focus on Australia's Superior Courts, such as the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Supreme Court of Western Australia. In addition, Rodrigo's clients have included a very broad range from individuals and small companies to prominent national and international companies including some of Australia's largest national insurers and international insurers. Prior to commencing his work in private practice as a litigator in 2011, Rodrigo also obtained significant commercial advisory experience advising clients on both direct and indirect tax issues at global professional services firms, such as Deloitte, where he further bolstered both his technical proficiency and commercial acumen.
