Sarah C. Jarrell

Job Titles:
  • FACOG
Dr. Sarah Jarrell is a native of Columbus, Georgia. While growing up, she admired the incredible work ethic of her father, a urologist, and her grandfather, an ear, nose, and throat doctor. She witnessed first-hand the happiness that caring for others in their time of need brought the physicians in her family. It wasn't just her grandfather and her father, however, who inspired Dr. Jarrell. Many of her family members worked in the medical field. Wanting to achieve the same high level of job satisfaction and the desire to help others, she followed in their footsteps and entered the healthcare field. Dr. Jarrell's decision to go into the area of women's health was always clear. She believes following a woman throughout her life and into the reproductive process is something truly unique, especially when it results in a healthy baby and a healthy mom. Dr. Jarrell says, "I just felt called to it. I love the ability to be able to take care of people and serve them and have an intellectual challenge at the same time." Dr. Jarrell achieved her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Georgia in 2009. Afterward, she attended Mercer Medical School, spending two years in Macon and the other two years in Savannah. She performed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Savannah at Memorial Health. She earned memberships in several prestigious medical organizations: the Georgia OBGyn Society, the American Medical Association, and the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (CREOG-ACOG). Dr. Jarrell is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Outside of being a doctor, Dr. Jarrell loves spending her time near and on the water. Thanks to its coastal location, Savannah was the perfect place for Dr. Jarrell to settle. As an avid traveler, Dr. Jarrell takes opportunities to explore whenever she can, wandering outside or taking walks or visiting the park. She also loves to experiment with local restaurants, taking along her friends and family to find new, delicious places to eat.
