SPATnz is pioneering the natural, selective breeding of New Zealand Greenshell mussels at a world-first purpose built hatchery in Nelson, New Zealand. SPATnz is advancing New Zealand's aquaculture industry through a Primary Growth Partnership programme between Sanford New Zealand Limited and the Ministry for Primary Industries... SPAT nz, which stands for Shellfish Production and Technology New Zealand Limited, runs a Primary Growth Partnership programme. A collaboration between industry and the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). SPAT nz's aim is to produce innovations to advance New Zealand's mussel aquaculture industry and deliver benefits for New Zealand's economy.
