Our legacy dates back to 1923 when Lacy Bordelon embarked on a four-day journey in his Model T to attend the University of California Berkeley, where he became a member of the inaugural class to earn a Certificate of Optometry. He returned to Alexandria, LA in 1925 and started practicing optometry in the back of the Schnack Jewelry Company. After 18 years, he established his own practice, paving the way for generations of optometrists to come... At Southern Eye Centers, we believe that everyone deserves to have healthy eyes and clear vision.
