Dr. Gliedt's research examines questions related to sustainability in energy systems, water systems, communities and organizations. His studies focus on innovation in water systems, green decision-making in organizations, and drivers of energy performance improvements on Energy Star commercial properties. He has investigated the process of green community entrepreneurship, and is expanding that line of research to focus on the value creation process in sustainability oriented organizations. A textbook titled Sustainability in Transition: Principles for Developing Solutions, London: Routledge, with Dr. Kelli Larson from Arizona State University, was published in 2018.
