Alex Blyth

Alex's role supports patients, carers, and families with discharge from South Hams Community Hospital or other hospitals, into local voluntary and community services. The aim is to support timely discharge, improved wellbeing and self-care, and reduce re-admission.

Amanda Perry

Job Titles:

We are delighted Amanda has returned to work with us. She is here to help your organisation find the guidance, information and advice you need to help you deliver your services safely & effectively, including managing and promoting your volunteering opportunities. She helps individuals develop ideas for positive change, to access volunteering opportunities or set up activities, identifying resources and support.

Barbara Price

Barbara moved to the South Hams with her husband and dog Alfie two and a half years ago from South London and is currently a Parish Councillor in Modbury. She started her professional career as a Registered nurse and District nurse and then went on to manage a range of services in the health service, including District Nursing, Health Visitors and Hospital services before moving to the Charity Sector. Barbara has over 20 years' experience in the Voluntary Sector with both small and large Charities as CEO and Trustee. Prior to her move to Devon, she was involved with Merton CVS and Social Prescribing Services. She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD). Barbara has two boys, a lovely daughter in law and a 2-year-old grandson still living in London.

Claire Hill - CEO

Claire is an experienced Chief Executive with a history of working, and volunteering, in the non-for-profit sector for over 29 years. She is the CEO of Totnes Caring who support vulnerable, mainly older people, in Totnes and the surrounding area. Previous to this, she was Deputy CEO for Improving Lives Plymouth, a charity that supports people with disabilities and long-term health conditions, for 15 years. Claire is passionate about the voluntary sector and helping people fulfil their potential.

Jackie Close

Jackie joined the team in May 2022 to assist with administration and finance. She has worked in administrative roles for many years, in the Health Service, Probation Service, and more recently hospitality- working as a PA to the general manager of a large hotel for 13 years. Responsibilities have included finance, HR and organising events. Jackie has been part of Girlguiding for over 10 years and runs a weekly Rainbows group in Ivybridge. She enjoys Pilates and walking.

Jackie has recently taken on the role as our new Chief Executive Officer. She has a wealth of experience and has been managing the communities team the last few months and acting as Deputy CEO.

Siobain Kelly

Siobain's role is working alongside Ukrainian residents, in partnership to support them in carrying out their own consultation process to identify and prioritise their needs using a self-advocacy approach. She has a background in Teaching, Training and Group Facilitation, including experience working with Cultural Change, Asset Based Community Development and Quality Assurance of Teaching and Training. When Siobain is not working, she enjoys coastal walks, gardening, reading, sea swimming and spending time with family and friends.

Tim Peters

Tim is a long time volunteer with Ivybridge Caring and Trustee. He is also the Leader of Ramblers Well-Being Walks Level 1. As Leader of the Ivybridge Memory Cafe, Tim recently completed a solo unsupported cycle ride from John o' Groats to Lands End, raising funds to benefit members of the group.
