- Chief Customer and Corporate Affairs Officer
Alex joined Bupa in July 2014. As Chief Customer and Corporate Affairs Officer she has global accountability for Bupa's customer experience, brand, corporate communications, CRS, and public affairs. She previously held senior positions at J Sainsbury plc and Cadbury plc.

Cath brings substantial digital consumer expertise to the Bupa Board, with over three decades of professional and leadership experience across the retail, consumer, digital and technology sectors.
She is Chairman of Ustwo; a digital product and games studio. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Sage Group plc and Funding Circle Holdings plc. Previously, Cath was a Non-Executive Director of Royal Mail, Home Retail Group, LV= and Telefonica Europe. She has held a number of commercial roles including marketing and business development at Sky TV, Avon, Next, and O2 and was chairman of Tesco Mobile.

Joined the Board in May 2015. Clare is Senior Independent Director, Chair of Bupa's Audit Committee and is a member of Bupa's Risk and Nomination & Governance Committees.
Clare brings a wealth of experience, particularly in the areas of finance and insurance.
She is also a Non-Executive Director of M&G plc. Clare was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) from 1988 until 2011. Whilst she was at PwC, she held several senior and high profile roles, particularly within the insurance sector. Clare is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Colin was appointed Group Company Secretary of Bupa in July 2019.
He was formerly Group Company Secretary at Old Mutual plc, the international financial services group, where he held senior corporate governance and legal roles for over eight years. Prior to that, he worked in the Group General Counsel's Office of Barclays plc and was a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills.
David commenced in the new role of Chief Risk Officer in January 2017. He has been with Bupa since 2014 in senior roles including Chief Internal Auditor and MD of IDM. He has had extensive international financial services experience, having held various senior positions in Nigeria, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and in London with Standard Chartered and Citibank.
David is accountable for Bupa's UK businesses and the international health insurance businesses (Bupa Global Business Unit, Bupa Global European Economic Area, and Bupa Global North America/GeoBlue). He joined Bupa in 2014 as Transformation Director in the UK, and to lead Bupa's health and dental clinics before becoming General Manager of Bupa's UK Care Services business in 2015. Before joining Bupa, David was Chief Operating Officer and UK CEO for Friends Life.

Evelyn was appointed Bupa's Group CEO in July 2016, having been Acting Group CEO from April 2016.
She has a strong track record in global executive management and extensive experience in financial services, risk and capital management, and mergers and acquisitions.
Evelyn joined Bupa as CFO in September 2012, from Friends Life where she was Chief Executive Officer of its Heritage division. Previously at Friends Provident, she was the Executive Director responsible for strategy, capital and risk and, before that, Chief Financial Officer.
Evelyn grew up on a dairy farm in Ireland and she's the eldest of six. She was one of the first two women in Ireland to qualify as actuaries. She began her career with New Ireland Assurance and Bank of Ireland. She holds an MBA from London Business School and was previously a Non-Executive Director of the IFG Group in Ireland. Evelyn is currently a Non-Executive Director of London First, as well as a Non-Executive Director of the Bank of Ireland Group plc and a member of their Audit Committee and Nomination and Governance Committee.

Commencing as CEO in April 2019, Hisham first joined Bupa as CFO in 2008 where he played a key role in the integration of health insurer MBF and the acquisition and establishment of a number of new subsidiary health companies. Since then, he has held a variety of roles, including Managing Director of the regions' Health Services business, which provides Bupa's dental, optical, health coaching and medical assessment services to more than 1.5 million Australian and New Zealanders across 270 locations.
Prior to being at Bupa, Hisham held a number of senior executive roles in a variety of industries including retail, energy, aviation and construction.
Hisham holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the accounting body, CPA Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been a non-executive director of a number of companies.

Iñaki is accountable for Sanitas in Spain, LUX MED in Poland, Bupa Chile, Bupa Global Latin America, which includes Care Plus in Brazil, and Bupa Acibadem Sigorta in Turkey. Before joining Bupa in 2005, Iñaki held senior positions at Acerinox, the Telefonica Group and Carrefour as well as founding an online start-up. Iñaki has a degree in Law and holds an MBA from IESE Business School.

Janet is the Chairman of the Creating Shared Value Council at Nestle SA, Council Member at SustainAbility, an ERM Group Company and serves as an Ambassador of the International Integrated Reporting Initiative. Previously she served as Global Head of Public Affairs at Nestlé SA and was a member of the board of Bamboo Finance SA. She also served as Partnership Advisor at the World Health Organization in the area of non-communicable diseases and mental health and as CEO of the World Heart Federation. Janet was formerly Vice President and Partner at Bain & Company Switzerland.
Joy was appointed Bupa's Chief Financial Officer in July 2016, having been Acting CFO from May 2016.
She has deep financial, strategic and operational experience at both board and executive level. She has a strong track record in driving business performance and turnarounds, and mergers and acquisitions.
Joy joined Bupa in 2011 as CFO of our Australian business, before becoming Finance and Commercial Director of Bupa Australia and New Zealand, and then Interim Chief People Officer and General Manager, Health Services, Bupa UK.
Joy grew up in Australia, studying at the University of Melbourne and holds a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Before joining Bupa, she worked for National Foods in Australia, now known as Lion Dairy & Drinks, firstly as General Manager, Corporate Development and General Manager, Business Performance before becoming CFO between 2007-2010.
Joy also spent over three years as a Non-Executive Director at Bega Cheese Limited, and is a member of Chief Executive Women, Australia.
As Bupa's CFO Joy leads on maintaining and improving the Group's financial health, maintaining a strong financial control environment, and engagement with bondholders, ratings agencies and regulators. She also leads Bupa's Group strategy function.

Joined the Board in January 2014. Martin is Chair of Bupa's Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Nomination & Governance Committee.
Martin brings extensive international business experience to the Board.
He is Chairman of EnQuest PLC, Moelis & Company's Global Energy and Vice Chairman of Tellurian Inc. He is also a Non-Executive Director of CC Energy and Vice Chairman of Hakluyt North America. Previously Martin was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of BG Group plc where he spent 32 years. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, is on the advisory board of the Royal Opera House of London, is a member of the advisory board of the Global Energy Policy unit at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in New York.
The Committee comprises the Chairman and four Non-Executive Directors. Martin Houston is the Committee Chairman. Roger Davis, Nicholas Lyons, Caroline Silver and Janet Voûte are the other members of the Committee.
