Dr. Craig Meaux

Craig Joseph Meaux Jr., M.D. is a native of Kaplan, LA. He graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School, then went on to get his Bachelors of Science in Biology along with minors in Chemistry and Psychology at the University of Louisiana. He received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 2012 where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at LSU/Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans. He was given the opportunity to work at the VA hospital in New Orleans, providing medical and surgical eye care to many Veterans. He is board-certified and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. While offered jobs in large metropolitan areas such as Miami, Dallas and Houston, Dr. Meaux felt most at home in Beaumont, Texas, as the culture most closely represented his hometown. Dr. Meaux provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care using the latest technological advances available. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetic retinopathy, Macular degeneration, Dry eyes, Pterygium, Eyelid lesions, among others. He also performs LASIK, PRK, MIGS and manages ophthalmic emergencies including ocular injuries and eye infections. Dr. Meaux has provided surgical eye care to patients with varying needs ranging from former NFL athletes to pilots. Outside of work, Dr. Meaux enjoys hunting, fishing, exercising, traveling, reading and spending time with his family.

Dr. Kevin Harmon

M. Kevin Harmon, M.D., joined our practice in 1992 with a commitment to serve his community in general Ophthalmology, and his area of passion, cataract and refractive eye care. Dr. Harmon is known for providing a premium surgical experience. He customizes a personal surgical plan for each patient in order to arrive at the best outcome possible. His practice has been dedicated to reducing or eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses through the latest technological advancements. Dr. Harmon`s cataract surgery has become quite the topic of conversation in the community. He was voted "The Best Cataract Surgeon 2008" by community votes, in the Beaumont Enterprise`s Readers Choice Survey. "Friends are referring friends" so that they, too, may experience an enhanced lifestyle of clearer vision. The new Lifestyle multifocal implants are a premium implant allowing patients to see near and far, with little dependence on glasses. Patients who need cataract surgery, but have astigmatism, may benefit from a Toric implant, or limbal relaxing incisions, in lieu of traditional implants. Dr. Harmon sets high expectations for himself in his patient care and has a friendly, light touch approach. He is married with a teenage son, and is a fishing enthusiast, taking his family and friends along during the peak seasons. Dr. Harmon is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist. He graduated in the top 5% of his class from the Oklahoma University College of Medicine in 1988. Kevin J. Talbot

Kevin J. Talbot, M.D. was born and raised in Beaumont and returned home to join the practice in 2018. Dr. Talbot practices comprehensive Ophthalmology including the medical and surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. His passion, however, is providing his patients with exceptional "no more glasses" vision using the latest technology in small-incision cataract surgery and laser procedures such as LASIK. Dr. Talbot combines the most up-to-date technology with his own proprietary surgical planning tools to give each patient a customized plan and he prides himself on being a resource to other surgeons, offering his advice to help with complex and challenging cases. Dr. Talbot attended Texas A&M University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. He then continued his education at the Texas A&M - College of Medicine where he graduated in the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the highest honor given to a training physician. Dr. Talbot began developing his surgical skill during a 1-year general surgery training program at Riverside Regional Hospital in Virginia before shifting his focus to Ophthalmology. He completed his Ophthalmology training at The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. It was there that Dr. Talbot started to solidify his reputation as a future leader in eye care. During his time in Florida he spearheaded the launch of several surgical protocols and introduced several surgical techniques to the Florida Surgical Center and Gainesville VA Medical Center that are still being used to this day. He also volunteered his time at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station where he was a LASIK and refractive surgeon for the U.S. Navy Pilots. He is an active Fellow of American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, International Society of Refractive Surgeons, Christian Ophthalmology Society, and other national and international medical societies. Dr. Talbot enjoys many outdoor activities in his free time, including fishing, hunting, & hiking with his family. He is married to Sara Talbot, MD and they have 2 children, Andrew and Sophie.
