Chris Shafer

Chris is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. He joined the Founders team back in 1997 where he began his career as a vital part of our Operations Department. He quickly proved that he had what it took to join our Sales and Design team and became a valuable asset to several of our salespeople. In 2001, he transitioned from the office into the field and has been one of our top salespeople every since. Chris has broken several sales records on numerous occasions throughout the years. His professional and no-nonsense approach to business are traits that have fostered loyal and long lasting customer relationships.

Jason started with Founders Kitchen back in 1996 and literally learned the "ins and outs" of our business from the ground up. He started by working in our warehouse and making jobsite deliveries; however, his drive and desire to learn, provided him with a swift transition into the office. After serving as the Customer Service Manager and a Design Administrator, he went into sales in 2003. That year he received the "Rookie Salesperson of the Year" award and joined the multi-family division. In 2004, he was named the overall "Salesperson of the Year" and in 2006 he was awarded "Employee of the Year". Jason's optimism and ability to create and foster professional relationships has made him the top salesperson in our company.

Jordan Duncan

Originally from Nashville, TN, Jordan graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Sciences, and a concentration in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She joined the Founders team in 2016 with great ambition and a drive to learn. She quickly embraced the Founders culture and in turn worked her way through our administrative team to her desired role in design & sales. With her attention to detail and team spirit, she enjoys sharing her knowledge by training and assisting in internal affairs while dedicating her time and effort to her clientele. Exploring color, texture, and functionality, Jordan walks her customers through the design process with guidance and precision to accommodate design requests or address concerns. Jordan has a passion for the arts and true compassion for people which allows her creative energy and caring heart to welcome clients into their newly designed space.

Julie Affeldt

Julie joined the Founders team back in 1996 right after graduating from Virginia Tech. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, with an emphasis in Kitchen and Bath Design, provided her with a great foundation. She came on board as a Design Administrator and for years served as an invaluable support to many of our top salespeople. She made a flawless transition into sales in the year 2001 and has worked with most of our largest builder accounts over the years. Julie is a versatile designer that can accommodate any size or type of project. She is well respected by her customers and her peers, as she possesses the perfect combination of personality, professionalism, and talent.

Lindsay originally came to us as an intern during her senior year at the University of Georgia and after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002, she returned to us as a fulltime Design Administrator. Her education in Furnishings and Interiors provided her with a complete understanding of design. Her knowledge and accuracy quickly excelled her into a Sales and Design position a year later. She has been a wonderful asset to Founders and has been successful in all the projects she has acquired. She is a dedicated and hard working designer who leaves no detail undone. She has accomplished so much already and has a bright future in design ahead of her.

Sarah graduated, in 1995, from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She came on board to Founders in 1998 and brought the experience that made her a great fit into the Operations Department. She served as the Installation Manager for three years and in 2003 moved her talents out into the field. Sarah's versatile design skills allow her to have a wide range of customers. She has designed kitchens from multi-family units to high end remodels. Sarah provides exceptional personal attention to all of her clients which has resulted in several "accolades" from our customers.

Shannon Messer

Shannon first came to Founders in 2003 with a design degree from Georgia State University. After training under several of our top sales people, Shannon moved into Design Sales in 2006 and was instrumental in opening our Buckhead showroom in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC). Since then she has lived and worked as a kitchen and bath designer in Atlanta, Miami, and Chicago. Shannon is grateful for this diversity of life and work experience and believes it has strengthened her as a designer and person. Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with homeowners to help them create spaces that improve their daily quality of life both functionally and aesthetically. It is always her goal to not only to ease the stress of the process, but make it fun and exciting.

Steve Morton

Steve was recruited to join Founders' Sales and Design Team in 2014 because of his reputation in the kitchen cabinet industry. With over 30 years of experience in commercial accounts, new home construction and remodeling; his expertise in cabinetry has gained him enormous respect among construction professionals throughout metro Atlanta. Steve was born in St. Charles, Missouri; but raised in Palatka, Florida. In 1978, he moved to Atlanta to attend technical school. He now resides in Marietta, Georgia with his wife, Jodie, and daughter, Sarah. His interest for the business started as a part-time installer with American Woodmark in the 1980's, while also working for the United Parcel Service. UPS proved to be a catalyst for his strong work ethic and desire to become a successful entrepreneur. Steve catapulted his career as an independent contractor in cabinetry sales, design and project management. Then in 2001 Steve started working primarily for Kastle Lake Kitchen and Bath, and by 2006 he proved to be instrumental in making them a thriving company. Steve's success is based on unyielding dedication to customer service and believes that "It is imperative to be a positive aspect to a client's needs and construction schedule for a project to be successful." In his off-time, Steve enjoys football, baseball, boating and traveling with his family.
