Hauling For Hope's founder and CEO, Joe Hendricks, combined his experience of working in an auto repair shop with his love for his niece and developed it into a charitable, award-winning company.
In 1989, Joe's niece was born with a heart condition that caused a lack of oxygen to her brain - which resulted in permanent damage.
While Joe was working in an auto repair shop, he realized that many car parts were being thrown away and ending up in landfills, so he decided to recycle them. This allowed him to have some spare money to be able to take his niece to do simple things she enjoyed so much.
