Born and raised in south west London he trained and worked as a graphic designer. A passionate interest in sport from an early age led to several years of practice in Chinese boxing before discovering the benefits of Tai Chi and Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung... In his time with Grand Master Lam Richard has studied Lam Style Tai Chi, Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung, Pushing Hands, Da Cheng Chuan, Choi Li Fut, Wu Dang Dragon Sword and Broad Sword. More recently he has also been studying with the Lam family's second son Sifu Lam Tin Yu, learning Chinese Staff (Gún), Daoist Meditation and extending knowledge of the Wu Dang Dragon Sword. Sifu Richard began teaching Lam Style Tai Chi in 2005 and Zhan Zhuang Kung in 2008... Lam Style Tai Chi and Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung classes in South West London and north Surrey
