Working at the intersection of visual art, landscape architecture, heritage conservation, and landscape research, I interpret and construct landscapes through photography, site installations, analytical documentation, and built-work. This website focuses on my photography... I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from James Madison University in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and later entered the graduate photography program at California Institute of the Arts where I completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in the Post-Studio program. The Post-Studio program included artists focusing on installations, performance, videography, and other work that was completed outside of the studio. At CalArts I was mentored by John Baldessari and studied with Judy Fiskin, JoAnn Callis, Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe, Michael Asher, and Barbara Kruger. Given my strong interest in landscape I later attended the University of Virginia's School of Architecture where I earned a Master of Landscape..
