Dr Andrew Pepicelli

Andrew received his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1994. He then worked as a general dentist for six years before completing his Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics 2003. Whilst undertaking his studies, Andrew received numerous awards for scholastic excellence. In 2000, he received the prestigious F.G. Christensen Memorial Prize for the highest aggregate marks in the primary examinations of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. In 2004, Andrew was granted the Diploma of Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh after undertaking the necessary examinations. Andrew has been working in private specialist orthodontic practice since 2004. He takes immense pride in his work and enjoys observing the positive functional and aesthetic effects that orthodontic treatment provides to patients in his care. In order to keep up to date with the latest technological advances and materials, Andrew regularly attends local professional association meetings as well as local and international conferences. Andrew is a clinical demonstrator in the graduate Orthodontic program at the University of Melbourne and he has lectured extensively on various orthodontic topics to dental students, general dentists and allied health professionals. He has also published a paper in American orthodontic literature. Andrew is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontics, The Australian Dental Association, The World Federation of Orthodontics and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys. He enjoys playing golf, reading and travelling. Andrew has a keen interest in art and exploring the wine regions of Australia, and is an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club.

Dr Daniel Sable

In 2002, Daniel gained his Masters degree in orthodontics at the University of Melbourne. Prior to attaining his Bachelor of Dental Science, also from University of Melbourne in 1995, he completed his pharmacy degree in 1989. Daniel's passion for Orthodontics extends into teaching and he has been appointed as a clinical demonstrator for the postgraduate orthodontic programme at the university of Melbourne. In addition to this Dan presents to dentists and dental students several times a year. He has also presented lectures to the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontics and in 2002 won the royal Australiasian College of Dental Surgeons Young Lecturers' award. Dan also regularly attends local and international orthodontic meetings and conferences in order to stay up to date with the latest in orthodontics. He has published papers in eminent scientific journals, including the Australian Dental Journal, the Angle Orthodontist and the Annals of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Daniel says some of the most rewarding aspect of orthodontics for him is the satisfying feeling when all the pieces of the puzzle fit together leaving the patient with a great smile at the end of treatment. He also enjoys the wonderful aesthetic and functional results that orthodontics treatment provides. Outside orthodontics, Dan enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and 3 children. His hobbies include cycling, running and he loves to travel

Dr James Newby

Dr. James Newby completed his undergraduate dental training in 2004, graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne. In his final year, he was awarded the James Manahan Lewis prize in periodontics and also a Victorian Healthcare Association Scholarship. James has worked in private practice in Brighton and held positions as Senior Dentist at a major rural hospital, Goulburn Valley Health, and lecturer at The University of Melbourne's Rural Health Academic Centre. James has a passion for teaching and has been teaching University of Melbourne dental students for the past seven years. To keep up to date with the latest advances in orthodontics, James regularly attends conferences and courses, both nationally and internationally. As a part of his specialty training, James completed research on the effectiveness of the Invisalign® orthodontic system, which he has presented and has become an area of particular interest for James. James has always had a keen interest in orthodontics, having undergone orthodontic treatment as a teenager. He hopes he can pass on the same positive experiences he had as a patient and gains a great sense of satisfaction giving patients the best smile possible and enjoys seeing patients' confidence develop throughout treatment. Having grown up in country Victoria, James has been a strong advocate for improving dental services to rural communities and continues to split his time between metropolitan and rural practice. Outside of work, James is an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club, loves a round of golf, and has a keen interest in aviation.
