Cristal Bourn, M.Ed., BCBA, COBA - Cristal completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Kent State University in 2005. She then went on to receive a Master's degree in Special Education from Kent State University with an emphasis in Mild/Moderate Intervention. In August of 2014, Cristal received her Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst after supervised field experience spanning over 12 months of full time work using the principles of applied behavior analysis and passing a national certification exam. Cristal is also a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA), licensed to independently practice in the state of Ohio. She has been working with individuals with developmental, emotional, and behavioral disabilities in a professional capacity for over 15 years. Her personal experience spans more than 28 years. It has been her lifelong dream to be able to help families find solutions to the challenges they face in their every day lives. For this reason she founded Unified Solutions. Cristal Bourn is the mother of four wonderful children; each of them very different from the other, yet equally as beautiful and amazing. It was not long before she realized that some of her children did not fit into the cookie-cutter image of how children are "supposed" to develop or "supposed" to act or "supposed" to do anything. It was then that she began her awesome journey into the world of neuro-diversity. Along the way, she met some wonderful people who helped guide her and helped her find answers. At other times, she felt completely lost and alone. During those times of deep loneliness, she vowed to help other parents who were also making their own journey through this wonderfully awesome, yet oftentimes difficult to understand and even frightening, world we call special needs.
