The new school was created in 2020 by bringing together the School of Journalism, founded in 1996, and the Arts Studies in Research and Writing program, formed in 2008-09... We offer undergraduate courses that build journalistic and writing skills for the evolving journalism and media landscape... The UBC School of Journalism, Writing, Media (JWAM) is a new unit for innovative research and teaching for students in undergraduate and graduate studies. The School of Journalism, Writing, and Media is a dynamic unit for innovative research and teaching in journalism and media, writing, and communication, with programs and courses for undergraduate and graduate studies.
