GARDEN THYME - Key Persons
Garden Thyme is a family run business based in West Sussex. Charles started the business in 1992, his brother Justin joined him later as Senior Gardener. The brothers are keen horticulturalists and both had a love of gardening from a young age.
Charles started out studying agriculture on a farming course. He fell into horticulture after completing his dissertation in Herb Cultivation (which wasn't entirely welcomed on a farming course!) And so the seeds were sown. Charles retrained with City and Guilds whilst working in hard landscaping but found he was becoming a builder with less involvement in horticulture, which he loved. When he started his own business in grounds maintenance he found more parallels with the farming background he'd come from, drawing similarities from the seasons, planting etc. and he could finally use his intuitive gardening skills to full effect.
