KAPPA ALPHA ORDER

Kappa Alpha Order was founded on December 21, 1865, when three friends, soon to be joined by the fourth founder, gathered in a small room at Washington College, now Washington and Lee University, in Lexington, Virginia, and decided to bind their friendship by a "mutual pledge of faith and loyalty. James Ward Wood toasted the "two Williams," and the idea for KA was born... Kappa Alpha Order's shared values helps you to keep your compass straight, not only during college, but throughout life... We believe in chivalry and respect to all people-on campus, in the community, and throughout our career. It is also incumbent upon our members to support others through philanthropy and service.
