I've been making things for a long time. Skateboard ramps, GI Joe Forts, movies, skits, music. Professionally, I started at age 14 as a helper to a local builder, as a laborer at a small farm and then in high school as a punch-out man for a general contractor. I studied Architecture, Art and Design at the University of Maryland College Park. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts in 1998 with a focus on sculpture and 3-D design. I traveled to New Bedford, Massachusetts, where I received a Master of Fine Arts in Artisanry from the Furniture Department of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Before and after my studies in Massachusetts, I apprenticed with a furnituremaker, John Calvin, in Columbia, MD. I'm a designer, moldmaker, furnituremaker, concrete artisan and curious guy.
