She provides clients with accounting and tax preparation, valuations, pension plans and litigation support services. In her free time, Annette enjoys bicycling, boating and skiing with her family. Colleen Doughty

Colleen has over 40 years of accounting experience. Courtney Rogers

Courtney has 7 years of Payroll Processing experience. She also is experienced in auditing, accounts receivables and payables, general bookkeeping, general accounting, reconciling accounts, and monthly balancing of accounts. Courtney is responsible for assembling tax returns, e-filing tax returns and assisting where ever needed during tax season. Deanna Hamann

Deanna joined McDonald & Associates in 2016 as a seasonal receptionist for the upcoming tax season and has since joined our team as a full-time staff member. Deanna has filled many roles throughout her time with McDonald & Associates including: receptionist, accounts receivables, scheduler, assembler, marketing & design, team-building strategist and most recently has joined our payroll department and will be processing payroll and doing tax preparation for our clients. Deanna has a passion for learning and is grateful to work within a company that encourages both professional and personal growth. Outside of work Deanna has 2 beautiful daughters, a husband (who is her favorite fishing partner) and 3 rescue dogs. She would describe any activity with her loved ones as her favorite activity, but especially loves the nights when everyone is home for dinner and there is good food, a bit of chaos and a lot of laughter.

Dylan Slomp

Dylan joined McDonald & Associates in 2021. His responsibilities include business and individual tax preparation, developing financial statements, and managing client QuickBooks. Dylan completed a tax preparation internship in Holland for the 2020 filing season. He graduated from Davenport University in 2021 with a BBA in Accounting, earning a place on the Dean's List. During his leisure time, he enjoys cooking, camping, golfing, watching sports, and enjoying the outdoors.

Eric Puchel

Eric worked as a bookkeeper for Meijer and a tax preparer for H&R Block before joining McDonald & Associates in 2006. His responsibilities include preparing bank reconciliations, financial statements, payroll reports, tax planning, corporate and individual tax returns and business development advising. In his free time, Eric enjoys reading history, bike riding and visiting family in the Pacific Northwest United States.

Evan Kellom

George Snyder Jr.

George serves clients as a Certified Public Accountant providing accounting and financial services to a variety of businesses, as well as individual tax preparation and planning, estate planning and long term succession planning. George is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, archery, bicycling, hiking and travel. Education Michigan State University Bachelor of Arts Michigan State University College of Financial Planning George worked at McDonald & Associates from high school through college preparing financial statements and payroll reports, as well as corporate and individual tax returns. He moved to Chicago in 2011 and was responsible for management of the accounting and finance department for a start up Telecommunications Company where he prepared financial statements for investors, facilitated the annual financial statements audit with external auditors, and was part of a series A financing. George moved back to the Great Lakes Bay region to rejoin McDonald & Associates in 2016. George's responsibilities at the firm are centered on business development, providing external financial officer service for clients, evaluating where clients are vulnerable financially, and assisting clients in the development of a plan to maximize their wealth by increasing the value of their business. He is an avid outdoors man and enjoys bow hunting, hiking, and spending time on the water, as well as golf, hockey, exercise, and reading. Renee Hulbert

Renee provides client services including, client contact, general office support, accounts receivable processing, tax preparation, review and assembling of returns. She has extensive experience in financial services, such as accounting, bookkeeping, in both the private and governmental sectors as well as preparation and participation in audits and public hearings. Renee assisted technology associates with the development and improvement of in-house software for payable processing. She is knowledgeable in retail accounting from cash drawer balancing to freight bill processing and resolution of invoice inconsistencies. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, biking, attending group exercise classes and traveling. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 kids and 2 fur babies. Most evenings of the week you will likely find her and her family at an ice rink somewhere in the area as her son is a hockey player and on weekends, they spend a lot of time camping in the North West area of lower Michigan. Tom McDonald

Tom McDonald founded McDonald & Associates in 1979. Soon, George Snyder, Jeff Burns and Annette McTaggart joined him and became Managing Partners after earning their CPA licenses. Together they worked to grow the firm. Throughout the mid-80s, they were able to acquire several accounting and tax practices expanding to several locations throughout Michigan. As a result, McDonald & Associates has an accounting services team in Michigan at six locations. Over time, we were able to offer a range of services, including accounting, payroll and tax planning for businesses as well as tax preparation, tax planning, and estate planning for individuals. In fact, the Mcdonald team of accounting and financial professionals have over three decades of expertise. Consequently, we have the in-depth knowledge to meet a wide range of clients' needs. In addition, we regularly engage in continuing education to keep us up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations.
