The root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the element of earth. It is the chakra of security, safety, andbasic needs. When the root chakra is balanced, we feel grounded, stable, and secure. We are able to meet our basic needs and feel a sense of belonging in the world... When the root chakra is balanced, we feel safe and supported. We feel connected to the earth and our bodies. We feel confident and secure in our lives. We are able to take risks and to trust in the process of life. When the root chakra is out of balance, we may feel anxious, disconnected, and unsafe. We may feel like we are not good enough or that we do not belong. We may have a hard time trusting in life and taking risks.
