As time went by, oriental and area rug cleaning became the primary business... When wall-to-wall carpet became popular, Quincy Rug Works began cleaning in customer's homes. Over the years, several methods of cleaning were used, the modern method being hot water extraction, commonly known as "steam cleaning".
