Esther Littlejohn

Bill's concern for the health of Peninsula residents was influenced by his father, Dr. Robert Littlejohn, who practiced medicine on the Olympic Peninsula area for over 40 years. As owners of The Fifth Avenue Retirement Center and Sherwood Assisted Living, Bill and Esther have a long history of involvement in health care with an emphasis on senior living. The Lodge at Sherwood Village, a luxurious destination retirement community, is a natural extension of their senior living concept.

Ken Hays

Job Titles:
  • Local Architect
The Littlejohns did not need to look far when choosing an architect for The Lodge. Local architect Ken Hays more than filled the bill. Ken notes that "the Lodge design was inspired by Bill's love of the wilderness and the great lodges of the west." It embodies his vision of providing a building that reflects the environment of the Peninsula in a unique and beautiful retirement home.

Michelle Headrick

Job Titles:
  • Executive Director
Michelle, a Sequim native, knows the community well. She has long experience in the retirement field and has been working with The Lodge project since before the doors were opened more than 10 years ago. With the help of her seasoned staff, all of whom she has recruited and many of whom have been with her from the beginning, Michelle oversees the operation and makes sure that things run smoothly at The Lodge and Cottages at Sherwood Village. Michelle and her staff are ready to serve you.

Ross Hamilton

Ross Hamilton, a highly regarded nature photographer and resident of the Olympic Peninsula is a master of his subject and his art. As longtime fans of Ross's work, the Littlejohns assembled a large collection of Ross' photographs that now hang in the Lodge for the pleasure of the residents.
