UIC-FOUNDATION

The UIC Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization with the mission of improving the lives of the Iñupiat shareholders of the Ukpeagvik Iñupiat Corporation through education. The Foundation acknowledges that a solid education is key to success in any leadership role, and it strives to develop tomorrow's community, state and corporate leaders by helping UIC shareholders and their descendants reach their educational goals. It pursues its mission by raising funds to provide scholarships. The Internal Revenue Service has granted the Foundation tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
