Alex Silva

Alex Silva has more than 30 years of experience in international finance with an emphasis in the areas of evaluation of financial intermediaries, financial engineering, strategic planning and corporate finance. He is knowledgeable about the markets of Latin America and the Caribbean and maintains regular contact with several bilateral and multilateral institutions in the region. Additionally, it has first level contacts with the business community in Latin America as well as with a good number of regional financial institutions. He was the Manager of Antares Fund, a for-profit equity fund aimed at developing a secondary market for the shares of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and financial institutions specializing in services to micro and small entrepreneurs. He is also Executive Director of Calmeadow and representative of this Canadian NGO on the Board of Directors of Africap, a fund specializing in providing long-term equity and funds to MFIs in Africa. Prior to establishing Omtrix, Mr. Silva worked for the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), a multilateral financial institution, as the Manager of his office in Central America. He was also the Executive Director of ProFund International, where he managed the regional investment fund specialized in equity investments in MFIs in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of several MFIs in countries such as Nicaragua, Haiti, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

Katherine Gómez

Katherine Gómez has more than 8 years of experience in Banking and Stock Market Operations. He worked for several years as Senior Officer of VIP and Business client service in Scotiabank of Costa Rica and later in the Comptroller of Services of the Stock Exchange where he also assumed the role of assistant broker in Scotia Valores - Wealth Management. Currently, Ms. Gómez works as a Project Associate where she assists in the operations of the HEFF fund. Katherine is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Banking, and has participated in seminars and courses related to Investments in the Stock Exchange, Investment Funds, Commercial Skills, Tele-service Techniques, Complaint Handling, Sales, Telemarketing and Collection Management.

Lorna Li

Lorna Li has more than 20 years of experience in investment management, as well as project and corporate financing. As an Investment Officer of E + Co he was in charge of the analysis, identification and supervision of energy companies that comply with economic, social and environmental standards in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, he has managed investments in sectors such as tourism and renewable energy. She has participated as a Corporate Executive in investment banking operations. As the Fund Manager at Omtrix, Ms. Li identifies potential investments, and performs financial, technical and operational transaction evaluations for HEFF. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of MFIs in Venezuela and Ecuador.
