PORTAGE LAKE SPORTSMEN

The Portage Lake Sportsmen's Club was organized more than sixty years ago to encourage fellowship among local hunters and anglers. Club facilities are located on its 80-acre property near the small town of Chassell in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan... The purposes of the club are to foster good sportsmanship, to support sound conservation practices consistent with proper wildlife management, to provide a safe and convenient site for use of firearms, to offer hunter safety instruction to the general public, to defend the right of private ownership of firearms, and to promote responsible legislation to these ends.
