Bhawna Bharkada

In addition to her systemic foundation work, Bhawna is trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic/attachment, gestalt, person-centred counselling, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), children's accelerated trauma technique (CATT) and non-violent resistance (NVR). Bhawna's experience includes working with children and families for over 20 years within a wide range of contexts, such as community settings, schools, NHS, Local Authorities and private sector. I have also been in specialist services for looking after children and families facing adoption breakdown. She has worked with children, young people and adults pre and post diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions and learning disabilities, as well as those with mental health concerns. Bhawna runs a supervision clinic for trainee family therapists, and offesr consultations as an associate member to multiple organisations. She is Senior Systemic Lecturer for various organisations and teaching institutions. As well as writing and having multiple systemic courses accredited, Bhawna has written and delivered numerous parenting programmes and groups. She has a special interest in working with identity, family culture, and power and marginalisation.

Dimitra Turner

Dimitra has worked with neurodiverse individuals over the past 9 years; she has worked with autistic adults and children, as well with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs. She has worked across a variety of settings including, schools, nurseries, family homes, residential and supported living services and adult day services. Dimitra holds an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) from Tizard Centre (Kent University) and was lucky to be taught by well-revered professionals within Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support. She has completed the required 1500 hours of supervised clinical work to pursue accreditation with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board.

Dr Dora Whittuck

Dora is a senior psychologist, project consultant, and lecturer with over 16 years of specialist expertise in clinical psychology practice, organisational consultation and development. She has extensive experience of working with young people and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, learning disabilities, mental health problems. Dora currently leads a team of clinical psychologists in NHS learning disability services, alongside her independent practice. She is an honorary lecturer at the University College London and the University of East London, and regularly teaches on learning disability provision, systemic approaches and leadership interventions. She also works as senior consultant on a Wellcome Trust funded research programme exploring co-production, diversity and productivity from the perspective of people with learning disability and autism. Dora has worked in a range of clinical settings, including private healthcare, NHS inpatient and community services and charitable organisations. She has a particular interest in working creatively and compassionately to improve individual well-being whilst improving organisational effectiveness at all levels.

I am a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years' experience working with adults and children with intellectual disabilities (learning disabilities) and/or autism. I have worked in a range of settings including supported living, residential care, assessment and treatment settings and family homes. I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council and I am an Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society. A background in direct support both as a support worker and manager of services has given me an understanding of the importance of ensuring the person is always at the very heart of decision-making about their own life, working in partnership with their family and involved professionals. I am passionate about developing and facilitating high quality support with and for people and their networks - and continue to learn from the people I work with about what is needed for them to live the lives they want and deserve.

Matthew has worked in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for over 8 years and is currently pursuing accreditation with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board. He has worked in a range of clinical settings, including private healthcare, NHS inpatient and community services and charitable organisations. Matthew has spent his career working with adults and children with learning disabilities, severe challenging behaviour and a range of mental health conditions. He provides Functional Behaviour Assessments, designing, implementing and training others in the use of detailed Positive Behaviour Support Plans and interventions and conducting research into the efficacy of PBS implementation. With experience of managing services, direct support work and clinical practice, Matthew strives to use a person-centred approach to his practice, with a focus on enabling people to maximise their quality of life and have the confidence to manage challenging behaviour safely and effectively.

Richard is Joint Company Director. His main responsibilities concern the Company's legal compliance, overseeing matters of finance and administration. Having joined the Roll of Solicitors in 2019, Richard brings a legal perspective to the organisation's work. His knowledge of the law in a professional capacity enables him to bring informed insight to work instructed by the courts, such as medico-legal reports, matters involving the Court of Protection and assessments aiding family courts.
