Dr. Michael Sime

Dr. Michael Sime received his veterinary degree in 1998 from the University of Minnesota. He then completed a 1 year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Thereafter, he returned home to Minnesota and began taking over work from his father, Dr. Donald Sime who had run Suburban Animal Hospital since 1968. After growing up in the practice and helping his Dad over many years in many capacities, receiving his doctorate degree and advanced training allowed him to continue the family's mission to provide high quality pet care. He enjoys all aspects of care provided at the clinic, but has a special interest in surgery, ultrasound, and dentistry.

Dr. Natasha Lewis

Dr. Lewis hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to St. Paul for veterinary school. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She decided she enjoyed the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and stayed to practice after graduation. Suburban Animal Hospital was her first job out of veterinary school and she has stayed there ever since. Dr. Lewis loves getting to know clients and helping to promote the human-animal bond. Her interests include dermatology, ophthalmology, and geriatric care. In her spare time, Dr. Lewis enjoys reading, playing video games, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with her husband. She is an avid Star Trek fan and will gladly talk to you about this for hours (after examining your pet)!

Dr. Tara Sime

Dr. Tara Sime graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She then did a 1 year internship at the Animal Emergency Center in Milwaukee. Upon return she worked at Suburban Animal Hospital for 1 year prior to returning to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 for a 3 year residency in Emergency and Critical Care. Upon completion, she was board certified in the specialty. She is currently sharing her time at the University in the Emergency and Critical Service and Suburban Animal Hospital. She very much enjoys caring for pets and their people. Providing preventative and wellness care is wonderful for her, but she also has a passion for caring for those that may be unwell and in need of diagnostics and a spectrum of support or treatment.

Dr. Tiffany Kurtz

Dr. Kurtz grew up in Shawano, WI and moved to Minnesota for college, where she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Biology. She then worked in research and at a veterinary dermatology clinic prior to attending veterinary school. Dr. Kurtz attended St. George's University, located on the beautiful Caribbean island of Grenada, for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and completed her clinical year training at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Kurtz joined Suburban Animal Hospital in February 2020. Her professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, and surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Kurtz enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her pug mix named Jax.
