Dr. Andrew Cannon

Dr. Andy Cannon is a therapist at CORE Physical Therapy. Andy grew up in Omaha and was involved in competitive basketball and soccer throughout his youth and played both at the varsity level while at Creighton Prep. Dr Andy has been certified by the Myopain institute for trigger point Dry needling.

Dr. Claire Rathjen

Dr. Claire Rathjen is Co-founder and owner of CORE Physical Therapy. She paved her way to graduate school at Creighton university, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. Claire continues to compete and train athletes in weightlifting competitions. She currently holds 5 state records in Nebraska for Powerlifting. Claire also competes nationally in powerlifting in the 105# and 114# weight classes. In her spare time she loves to travel, exercise, she is an avid runner and triathlete, and she has an unequivocal love of cats. Claire is Mark's wife and best friend! She is a professor of special topics in athletic populations here in Omaha. Dry needling, research, KT taping, Sports performance have been her area of lecture for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. Dr. Claire is also Dry Needling Certified by the Myopain Institute and integrated this treatment in her practice seamlessly. Claire is also fully certified to perform medical Bike fits. Dr. Mark Rathjen

Dr. Mark Rathjen is the C0-Founder and Owner of CORE Physical Therapy. Mark is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and holds the certification of Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Mark grew up in Lincoln Nebraska, and went on to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. In college, he was part of a club powerlifting team and competed in many local and regional events in various weight classes. In his love of performance, strength training, dietetics, kinesiology and the body, he moved on to graduate school at Des Moines University Medical Center. In 2006 he graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. For more than 25 years, Mark has been involved heavily in weightlifting, sports performance, powerlifting and exercise/training. He always emphasizing injury prevention and safety. Mark also has an extensive background in martial arts. He continues to live an active lifestyle with power lifting, olympic lifting, and the occasional cardio event and trail run. In his spare time, mark enjoys traveling, trying new foods, ice cream, all forms of exercise. Mark is an avid animal lover, especially his cats. Mark is Claire's husband, and her best friend! They work side by side at CORE Physical Therapy and Sports Performance PC. Dr. Mark is also fully Certified in Dry Needling techniques from MyoPain Institute. Mark is Qualified to examine full slow motion running gait analysis and correction to decrease pain and over use injuries. Slow motion analysis for weight lifting, technique, bar path, mechanics and leverage are performed when necessary. CORE does the most comprehensive movement analysis in Omaha.
