Dan graduated from The University of Liverpool's School of Veterinary Science in 2015. Upon departing university, Dan was awarded the ‘Derek Knottenbelt Prize in Equine Medicine' and the ‘Animal-Care Award' for contribution to university and veterinary life alongside outstanding academic achievement. In 2016 his dissertation "No evidence that therapeutic systemic corticosteroid administration is associated with laminitis in adult horses without underlying endocrine or severe systemic disease" was published as an RCVS knowledge summary. Outside of work he enjoys playing cricket locally and spending time with his friends and family. He spends his weekends looking after the ever-increasing collection of animals at home and being the vet, groom and EDT for his horse Token that he shares with his partner.
