CLAYTON COMMERCIAL LITIGATION - Key Persons

Cord Clayton has extensive experience litigating business disputes to cost-effective resolutions. His practice typically involves complex commercial litigation, with particular experience in breach-of-contract and business-tort cases; shareholder, partnership and other internal conflicts among different ownership interests; and class action defense. He has also handled a broad range of other civil litigations, however, and many of his cases have involved appeals to state and federal appellate courts. Education and Background: Mr. Clayton earned a B.A. (earning three majors, in English, History and French) and M.A. (in English) with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. He served as editor of a law journal before graduating from Columbia Law School with honors in 1995. He previously worked as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Joseph E. Irenas of the District of New Jersey (1995-1996), an associate at Dechert LLP (1996-2003), and an associate and then shareholder at Bazelon Less & Feldman (2003-2015). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit.
