Before joining Studio Luppi, Fabio worked at two intellectual property consulting firms and has 30 years' experience in the sector. In one of these firms, he was responsible for the patent department and was in charge of a team of patent consultants. He organized and presented seminars on the topic of intellectual property both in Italy and abroad. He has been appointed as an expert witness by the civil and criminal courts and has also served as an expert for the criminal investigation department of the police in collaboration with the Finance Police. He was a teacher in a course on Intellectual Property at the Milan Polytechnic and has also edited a chapter of a textbook. He was appointed as an Intellectual Property expert as part of a European programme for small and medium enterprises. For many years, he has been a patent expert for the Special Support Service of the Milan Chamber of Commerce. He has also taught for many years on a preparatory course for patent consultants at the national level. He deals with drafting and prosecuting patent applications for industrial inventions in Italy and abroad, searches and patentability opinions, and consulting with regard to patent validity and infringement.
Before joining the firm, Giampaolo worked in the Quality Control department (chemistry and microbiology laboratory) of a major food company (1991-2001). He mainly deals with drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications at the national and international levels, drafting technical opinions on patentability and infringement, and providing technical support in cases of litigation.

Following two years of legal practice at a firm specialized in Civil Law and having obtained a Master's Degree in Innovation and Intellectual Property Development, in 2003 Maria Antonella began to work as a trademark attorney, obtaining the relative license shortly thereafter. As attorney-at-law, she deals mainly with trademark protection, with a particular focus on the impact of new technologies on the protection and valorisation of corporate identity and services. She is concerned, among other things, with the defence of trademarks on the internet, the transfer of domain names, the removal of digital content and the support in exploiting and protecting digital material protected by copyright. She is a Residential Affiliate of the Information Society Law Centre (ISLC) at the "Cesare Beccaria" Department of the University of Milan.
Before joining the firm, Marinella worked in the R&D office of a company that manufactures equipment and machinery for the ceramics industry (1999-2002). She mainly deals with drafting patent applications; translating and prosecuting patent applications abroad; responding to office actions; opinions on patentability and counterfeiting; prior art searches and monitoring activities; drafting technical reports in relation to patent disputes.
Before joining the firm, Massimo worked for a reputable IP consultancy firm (1992-2002) and then for a leading company in the manufacture of medical equipment (2002-2008). He mainly deals with drafting patent applications for industrial inventions, patentability opinions, consulting with regard to counterfeiting, technical consulting and support in relation to legal actions concerning patents and designs.
Following an internship in Civil Law, Paolo moved to the United Kingdom where he worked with several local firms, including two law firms in Edinburgh. He has previously worked with the Coloberti firm as a trademark manager and currently deals with trademark availability searches, filing strategies and managing national, European Union and foreign trademarks. He also provides out-of-court consulting on intellectual property matters and national and EUIPO opposition proceedings.
Pietro deals with the drafting and filing of Italian and foreign patent applications, drafting technical opinions on matters relating to patents and trademarks, and prosecuting patent applications abroad. He also deals with opposition and appeal proceedings with the European Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office and provides technical assistance in lawsuits in the matter of infringement and invalidity of Italian and foreign patents.
Before joining the firm, Rocco worked as a researcher at the Milan Polytechnic in the field of finite element analysis of mechanical structures, in particular of pump arms and distribution of concrete produced by a leading company in the sector. He is involved mainly in drafting and prosecution of patent and design applications in Italy and abroad; oppositions, opinions on patentability and infringement; prior art searches and monitoring; drafting technical reports in relation to disputes.
