Eljas Vesterbacka specialises in corporate and commercial transactions. The majority of his work focuses on M&A, corporate advisory and corporate structuring related matters. He also actively handles contractual issues and contract related litigation.
He frequently represents foreign companies and investors in connection with the formation, acquisition, structuring and contractual matters in Finland and cross-border connections. Eljas has extensive experience working with emerging companies and companies in need of restructuring. He is placed to help business to grow, solve problems and raise equity or funding.
He is keen about understanding the client's needs and challenges to develop the legal considerations needed in the client's business.
Eljas is a member of the Finnish Bar Association's Corporate Law expert committee. He is a active member in Eurojuris International, one of the largest international association of lawyers and law firms with a network of over 600 law firms in more than 50 countries.
Hannu specializes in dispute resolution, mediation and litigation. Hannu has a robust experience in both, civil and criminal cases from general courts of justice, arbitration and sport related dispute resolution. Hannu is a board member of the Finnish Bar Association and the chairman of the Ethics Committee. Additionally, Hannu is the chairman of Finnish Sports Law Association and a member of the Swiss Sports Law Association. He has a broad national and international network, which gives him great possibilities to work with professionals from different fields of business.
Within the field of international sports law, Hannu is known as an experienced professional. He has represented several international high-level athletes, coaches and clubs of various sports including traditional sports as well as Esports. Among their other achievements, his clients have won 3 Olympic Medals and 13 World Championship Medals. While representing his clients, Hannu has gained vast experience in Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and in FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and Players' Status Committee. Additionally, Hannu is a member of the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal.
Juha mainly assists his clients in the field of employment, insolvency and dispute resolution, especially considering real estate deals and damages.
Juha assists employer companies on all employment related issues such as co-operation negotiations, employment terminations, redundancies, workplace conflict issues and occupational safety.
In dispute resolution, Juha assists both domestic and international companies in disputes, mediation, litigation and arbitration in issues related to employment, contracts, debt collection and damages. A large share of Juha's litigation work consists of acting as the counsel for either the seller or the buyer in real estate deals.
Juha also acts as the court appointed trustee and receiver in bankruptcies and advise creditor companies on bankruptcy proceedings and related disputes.
