Alison McIvor - VP

Job Titles:

Alison has a personal connection to TSC through her family. Alison's background includes the financial services and not-for-profit sectors, where she has worked for many years in a range of marketing, business development, management and operations-focused roles. She is happy to share her experience to benefit TSA.

Catherine Whelan

Catherine has many years of experience in business development and corporate partnerships from roles within the health sector, at both corporate and non-profit organisations. Catherine has successfully advanced social initiatives, improved profitability for impact and fostered strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as governments, funders, and advocates.

Jackie Gambrell - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
Jackie leads the TSA team. She has an MBA and has previously held senior positions at: Black Dog Institute, a leading light in mental health research, Goodstart Early Learning, Australia's largest not-for-profit provider of early childhood education and care and AMPCo, publisher of The Medical Journal of Australia. She is currently also a Board Director with Learning Links, which supports children with learning difficulties and disability. Jackie is committed to making TSA's vision a reality.

Jenni Lawry

Jenni is a qualified, self-employed bookkeeper and registered BAS agent. She has worked across a variety of industries providing accounts, payroll and administrative services. Based on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, her grandson was diagnosed with TSC at 8 months old. This prompted Jenni to join the TSA Committee both to give her a better understanding of the TSC journey and to make a positive contribution to families living with TSC.

Katrina Watt

Job Titles:
  • Telehealth Nurse
Katrina has a broad range of experience including intensive care nursing and providing patient support and care to patients in a neurological/spinal rehabilitation unit. She has also been the nurse consultant for another telephone based patient support program. Katrina is committed to providing evidence-based strategies to support patients.

Michael Jones - President

Job Titles:
  • President
Michael is a long term supporter of TSA and has been on the Management Committee since 2015. He has extensive business and not-for-profit experience gained with a number of different organisations, most recently Asthma Australia. Michael does not have a personal connection with TSC but was moved to make a difference for people living with the condition.

Nova Young - Treasurer

Job Titles:
  • Treasurer
Nova lives with a family member who has TSC and this has inspired her to want to make a positive contribution to the TSA Community. Nova has significant financial experience across many industries and is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Rob Rossano

Job Titles:
  • Senior Consultant
Rob is a Senior Consultant with many years of experience in facilitation, training, coaching and managing organisational change. He has facilitated several major events and been a very successful fundraiser for TSA. Rob has two beautiful children, Roxie (who lives with TSC) and Teddie.

Sze-Ann Woon

Job Titles:
  • Secretary
Dr Sze-Ann lives in Perth, Western Australia and joined the Committee in 2022. She is an Infectious Diseases Physician and has a young son, Karamo, who was diagnosed with TSC at 3 months of age. As a parent and a doctor, Sze-Ann understands the difficulties of navigating the health system and would like to do more to advocate for children like hers with rare conditions.
