The Company grew from being a Partnership (established in 1995) to a Limited Company in 2015. The Managing Director - Mr Colin Poat - has some 35 years' experience in marine geo-survey operations and related applied disciplines. Starting offshore professional life as an Marine Engineering Geophysicist in 1988 with the UK-based survey company Wimpol Ltd, Colin became a freelance Consultant in 1995 and has worked on numerous cable (telecom and HVDC & HVAC), pipeline, oil and gas and renewable energy related projects ever since. He has the rare advantage in having cross-over skills as an applied geologist, hydrographic surveyor and as a specialist in marine geotechnics. He has a solid academic background with a BSc. Honours Degree in Applied Geology with Oceanography (First Class) from Plymouth Polytechnic (UK), a Post Graduate Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying from Plymouth Polytechnic and an MSc.
