BRIARPATCH FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION CENTRE

The BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre is very volunteer driven. From parents (and grandparents!) in the preschool classroom, to program facilitators like Colleen, and Board Members like Nicole, our staff and participants are well supported by engaged and creative individuals who give their time, expertise and energy to the BriarPatch. We love our volunteers!!... We know that parenting and family life is a journey, and we are here to offer support, education, resources and compassion... The BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre began in 1996 when Cheryl, our Executive Director, her husband Bill, and another couple began the process to start a Family Resource Centre in Sherwood Park. In 1997, this small non profit was incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta and in 2006, it became a Registered Canadian Charity.
