Damian Fernandez

Dr. Fernandez earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of California Davis and obtained his doctorate in Medicine at the Autonomous University in Guadalajara Mexico. He then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center. He was also elected for a leadership role as chief resident managing the training program, lecturing, and mentoring residents and medical students for an additional year after residency. Dr. Fernandez has also practiced as a Hospitalist in various hospitals in Northern California prior to joining fellowship training. He has gained valuable experience during that year and feels comfortable treating patients with multiple health issues. He believes in a whole care approach to patients and their unique healthcare needs and expectations.

Dr. Neal Moller

Dr. Neal Moller comes to the central Coast after practicing in the Chicago area for 28 years. He was the chief of endoscopy at Highland Park Hospital and a faculty member at the University of Chicago. He went to medical school at the University of Chicago. He was an intern and resident at Stanford University and a gastroenterology fellow at UCLA Medical Center. In practice he specialized in colon cancer screening and inflammatory bowel disease. He was named the top Doctor for colon cancer screening by Chicago Magazine in early 2017. He was a team physician for the Chicago Bears for 17 years. He and his wife moved to the central coast in April of 2017. He has three grown children and a golden retriever named Milo.

Jeffry Brown

Dr. Brown earned his B.A. in Medical Physics and his M.A. in Biophysics from UC Berkeley in California. He received his M.D. degree from U.C. Davis School of Medicine followed by the completion of his residency in Internal Medicine at St Mary Medical Center in Long Beach. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Brown has been Medical Director of Endoscopy Services at Kaweah Delta Medical Center since 2005 and has a limited fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound. He practices general gastroenterology with a special interest in pancreatic and biliary diseases. He enjoys the outdoors, especially biking and golf.

Jonathan Riegler

Dr. Riegler joined Central Coast Gastroenterology in 2008. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School and subsequently completed Residency training in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. He received his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Francisco. Following Fellowship, he joined the Gastroenterology staff at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He has been on the faculty of the University of California, Davis, and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Riegler practices general Gastroenterology. He and his wife have one child. He enjoys cycling and traveling.

Rabab Hajar

Dr. Hajar completed her medical degree at the University of Hassan II School of Medicine in Casablanca, Morocco. She has since moved to the US to pursue further clinical training. She completed an internal medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York where she was selected to complete an additional year of Chief resident duties. During that year she actively participated in the training and education of residents and students as well as various hospital quality improvement projects. She also earned an honorary clinical preceptor title from Suny Stony Brook University. After obtaining her board certification from the American board of Internal Medicine, she practiced as a Hospital Based Specialist at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento California. This allowed her to strengthen her foundational diagnostic and treatment skills caring for patients with various complexity levels. Dr. Hajar gained interested in gastroenterology early in her training through her love for nutritional science and interest in preventative medicine. She completed her fellowship in gastroenterology from Nassau University Medical Center in New York. She was designated by her colleagues and mentors as fellow of the year during her training. Her practice interest include general esophageal, gastric and intestinal disorders. Endoscopies, colonoscopies, video capsule endoscopy, general hepatology and some motility disorders. She also strongly advocates for women's health in general with particular emphasis on digestive health, early cancer screening, pregnancy and women dominant functional disorders.
