Noel Waite AO - Chairman

As founder of the Waite Group, Noel is a highly experienced company director and Chairman across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Her past directorships include the Public Transport Corporation of Victoria, the State Training Board in Victoria and Chairman of the Leukemia Foundation and the International Specialised Skills Institute. Noel became the first woman President of the Australian Institute of Management and has been prolific in her work in Career Development for women and men executives throughout Australia. In 1993, she was elected as an Officer of the Order of Australia for "service to business and management, particularly for advancing the development of women in management". In 2000, she published her first book on career development for women, ‘The Gold Within - Creative Careers for Women'. In August 2016 Noel was awarded an honorary Doctorate from Swinburne University for her services to business and her promotion of women into Senior Executive and Non-Executive Director positions. Noel is also an accomplished Artist and Portrait Painter. Noel is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an honorary Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and, in 2006, was elected to the Australian Graduate School of Management Hall of Fame at Swinburne University. Noel was nominated as one of "Women of Swinburne" International Women's Day (IWD) Event in March 2016 for her outstanding achievements and work as a member of the Swinburne Community.

Peter Waite

Peter has a track record of success in Executive Search spanning more than thirty five years. He served on the Board of InterSearch World Wide for 12 years, including 4 years as Chairman and 1 year as Chairman of the Standards & Quality Committee. Peter has conducted assignments in Executive Search throughout Australia and has directed international appointments. He has recruited and counselled executives in a wide range of disciplines including education marketing, accounting, banking, finance and engineering for large corporations and small businesses. These assignments have included CEO and executive management as well as Non-Executive Directors for commercial and Not-for-Profit organisations. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and his background in marketing and human resources and vast networks has led to the expansion of the InterSearch Worldwide, both nationally and internationally. This expansion has led to the direction of Executive Search assignments within Australia and internationally for national corporations and government authorities. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business Marketing from Monash University and an MBA from RMIT University.

Rob Pocknee

Rob has 18 years' experience leading high profile searches for mid-cap organisations in a diverse range of industry sectors, and for professional services firms, government organisations and industry associations. His recent work in senior executive and board search spans technology, manufacture, aged care, management consulting, infrastructure such as ports and water, facilities management, mining services, financial services, and sports & entertainment. Rob commenced his executive search career with Cordiner King in 2002 (until 2016). During that time, he was appointed to the global board of Amrop, one of the world's largest networks of executive search firms with around 80 offices in 40 countries, of which Cordiner King was a member firm. He also served as Amrop Vice Chairman for 7 years and as Amrop's Asia Pacific Chairman for 7 years. Previously, Rob was a Partner of PwC Consulting. He advised clients in a range of industries throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States on strategy and customer relationship management. During his career Rob has had three separate stints with PwC totalling 12 years. From 1995-1999, Rob was with the AXA Group; initially with a national customer service responsibility, then based in Hong Kong as General Manager with profit responsibility for superannuation and business insurance products. Concurrently, the Hong Kong Government appointed him as an independent specialist adviser in their successful launch of compulsory retirement savings plans. Rob commenced his career as an auditor, then as a Financial Controller and Company Secretary in manufacturing, before joining Myer Grace Bros as General Manager Customer Service with responsibility for customer service delivery of around 30,000 people in more than 70 Australian department stores.

Sarah Hunter

Sarah brings to our firm a deep understanding of executive search and has conducted assignments across a broad range of industries. She has developed a reputation as one of Australia's leading executive search specialists. She undertook an international traineeship in economics, working in New York. Later she went to London where she worked for a firm of consulting actuaries before joining the British Constructional Steelwork Association as Commercial Manager, researching opportunities overseas for British steelworks at a time of declining domestic demand. Back in Australia, Sarah spent five years with the executive search firms Egon Zehnder International and Spencer Stuart & Associates. Sarah also spent eleven years in the external and internal recruitment practices of PwC. Sarah recently retired as a partner with Cordiner King. During her 14 years, Sarah built an enviable reputation assisting clients with senior appointments across a very wide range of sectors. Sarah also undertook a number of studies assisting the knowledge of the appointment of women to senior positions.
