Aspen Pitkin

Aspen Pitkin County Airport is located approximately three miles northwest of downtown Aspen, CO. With the heart of the town being so close to the airport, many claim they can land on the runway and be on the slopes in only a few hours.

James (Jeb) Garamendi - President

James (Jeb) Garamendi is an active Airline Transport-rated pilot with more than 8,000+ flight hours and 20+ years of aviation industry experience. While serving in the U.S. Army's Priority Jet Transport Unit, James was responsible for the travel of foreign and domestic officials and diplomats. In 2004, Garamendi transitioned into aircraft management and corporate aviation, flying private charter out of California's Central Valley. In 2010, he accepted a position as Chief Pilot operating out of the Monterey Peninsula. James is now the president of MPIJet and is responsible for leading and overseeing our skilled team while maintaining MPIJet's high level of safety and customer service.

Matthew (Matt) Mcintyre - COO

Matthew (Matt) McIntyre has been flying since the age of 13 with his first flight being in a modified Pitts Special with world-renowned acrobatic pilot Sean Tucker. Matt has a BS in Aeronautical Management and Technology from ASU and serves as MPIJet's Chief Pilot. As a commercial pilot, Matthew has 8,000 hours including 1,000 multi-engine aircraft hours. He also has APS Upset recurrent training, acrobatic flight experience and five years' experience as a 141-flight instructor with over 4,500 hours dual given.
