OCEANS 5

Oceans 5 is an international funders collaborative comprised of Partners and Members who help identify, assess and approve projects for investment. They also remain engaged in project oversight and implementation. The collaborative is a sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that manages more than $400 million in annual giving. RPA provides staff support and financial management services for a small fee... Oceans 5 Partners provide between $1 million and $2 million annually for a minimum of 3 years. Members provide significant support for individual projects, $500,000 or more annually. Both Partners and Members serve on the Board of Advisors, while Partners maintain the authority to approve projects and govern the organization. Oceans 5 also provides guidance to other philanthropies interested in marine conservation.
