Opportunity Place, Inc., is the only low barrier to entry to our temporary emergency shelter for families and single women who are homeless in Okaloosa and Walton County. We provide safe shelter and supportive services for the chronically homeless and for those experiencing homelessness due to a negative event or situation that occurred in their lives. But we don't stop there. With compassion and dedication, we work hard to help these families find permanent housing and the resources they need to be self-sufficient... In 2015, the Board of Directors and the stakeholders of the Continuum adopted a new charter that called for the separation of responsibilities. The Continuum became the Homelessness and Housing Alliance (HHA), and the shelter became Opportunity Place, Inc (OPI).
