Alejandro Boza

Alejandro Boza joined PATH as the Facility Coordinator in June 2022. In this role, Alejandro is the first point of contact for all guests at the PATH Resource Center, and provides general office support to help PATH run as efficiently as possible. Alejandro is excited to join PATH and have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community. When he's not at work, Alejandro loves to travel, and he also volunteers with the Fauquier Free Clinic as an Interpreter, helping Spanish-speaking patients navigate their care.

Amy Petty

Amy has more than 20 years of experience working in communications, marketing and public relations in the non-profit healthcare arena. Before joining the PATH Foundation, Amy served as Director of Marketing for Fauquier Health, overseeing all aspects of advertising, public relations, community outreach and publications for the health system. Prior to moving to Warrenton in 1999, she served as Director of Communications and Education for the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association in Raleigh, NC. She also previously worked for the American Health Care Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association, both in Washington, D.C. She previously served on the board of the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce and as chair of the Marketing Committee. She has a B.A. in Communications from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA.

Andy Johnston

Andy Johnston is Director of Programs for the PATH Foundation. He has a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. Prior to joining the PATH Foundation, Andy was a nonprofit consultant and the founding Executive Director of Loudoun Cares. During his 12 years with Loudoun Cares, the organization partnered with community stakeholders to develop collaborative programs and initiatives that strengthened Loudoun County's nonprofit sector. A major accomplishment was the development of the Loudoun Cares Nonprofit Center, which is currently home to six nonprofits. Andy was one of Loudoun's leading advocates for the local nonprofit sector. Nationally, he served as the chair of the Nonprofit Centers Network Steering Committee. He has over 25 years of experience in the health and human service realm to include: direct service, program development, mental health, youth volunteerism, nonprofit management and grantmaking. Andy enjoys hiking with his dogs, gardening, biking, canoeing and other outdoor activities.

Beth Foddrell

Beth joined the PATH Foundation in 2017 and is a long-time Fauquier County resident. As a Program Officer, she coordinates the development and administrative management of grants and is responsible for organizing data for the Foundation to evaluate and track progress toward its mission. She also facilitates the PATH Foundation's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work in our community. Beth serves on the PATH Foundation JEDI (Justice, Equity, and Inclusion) Committee, Fauquier County Department of Social Services Advisory Board, Fauquier NAACP Health Equity Action Team and the Culpeper County Chamber DEI Council. She has worked in healthcare marketing, physician relations and community outreach positions for over 20 years, with 15 years at Fauquier Health. During that time, Beth was responsible for marketing and community relations activities, including involvement with community organizations such as the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce, Fauquier County Public Schools, American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. She is a member of PEAK Grantmaking.

Betsy Dietel

Betsy is a Senior Partner with Dietel and Partners, a philanthropic advising firm that serves a select client base. The business has offices in Maine, Virginia, and Washington and provides comprehensive grants management, thought partnership, and special project oversight to families who want to more effectively leverage their philanthropy, particularly with regards to gender equity, environmental sustainability and social justice. Betsy has a 30-year career in nonprofit management, community organizing and fundraising and was the first executive director of the Lake County Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Chicago Community Trust, and Conserve Lake County, a land trust in Northern Illinois. She sits on the boards of the Child Care and Learning Center and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. She has lived and worked in Kenya and Panama and holds a Masters of City and Regional Planning from Cornell University. In her spare time she is "assistant shepherdess" at Bean Hollow Grassfed, her family's sheep and cattle operation located at Over Jordan Farm in Rappahannock County.

Catherine Deane

Catherine Deane joined PATH Foundation as communications officer in May 2023. In this role, Catherine handles PATH's internal and external communications with VP of Communications Amy Petty. Catherine graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in Communication, concentrated in interpersonal communication, alongside a minor in human rights and conflict resolution. A lifelong resident of both Rappahannock and Culpeper counties, Catherine previously interned with Fauquier Reaches for Excellence in School Health (FRESH) distributing meals to food-insecure families county-wide. Prior to FRESH, Catherine worked as social media assistant to the founder and CEO of Engineering for Kids, a learning-based organization encouraging America's youth to engage in STEM. Catherine is excited to expand her knowledge of philanthropy, and contribute to her community in a meaningful way.

Christy Connolly - CEO, President

Christy Connolly joined Fauquier Health in 1999 as director of development for the original Fauquier Health Foundation. In 2005 she was named Vice President for Strategic Services, responsible for board development, strategic planning, marketing and the foundation. She returned to the Fauquier Health Foundation - and current PATH Foundation - in 2013 to lead its conversion to a modern health legacy foundation as President/CEO. She received her bachelor's degree in health science in 1991 from Longwood College. She earned her master's degree in public relations in 1995 from the University of South Carolina. In 2013 she earned a second MS in Healthcare Administration from George Mason University. Her past experience includes positions with the American Lung Association of Virginia, Northern Virginia Public Television, and the American Red Cross. She has served as president of the Rotary Club of Warrenton, and she is a past board member of the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce and Northern Piedmont Community Foundation. Christy also is an adjunct professor at George Mason University in the Master of Healthcare Administration program.

David Shang

David Shang joined the PATH Foundation as a Program Officer in July 2022. He is a Culpeper resident and has previous experience as a public school teacher. David has a B.S. in Middle Level Education from Grove City College and a M.S. in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. As a coordinator for SPARK summer camp and group leader for Converge youth ministries, he is excited to continue supporting the greater community through nonprofit work. David enjoys hiking, rock climbing, board games, music, and a good cup of tea.

Douglas M. Marshall - Chairman

Elizabeth Henrickson is the Chief Operating Officer with the PATH Foundation. She has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Mary Washington. Elizabeth joined Fauquier Health in 2008, working as Manager of Community Outreach, overseeing classes, events and community benefit for the hospital. She then moved into the position of Director of the Fauquier Health Foundation, where she raised money to support programs and initiatives at the hospital. Prior to that, Elizabeth was the Executive Director of the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation in Warrenton. She has 20 years of experience working with nonprofits, including the Lombardi Gala at Georgetown University Medical Center and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Washington, DC.

Grant Pearse - CFO

Grant Pearse joined the PATH Foundation in 2023 as the Director of Finance and brings over 20 years of accounting, budgeting, compliance, tax, and financial management experience having served in various public sector, private sector, and non-profit roles in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Prior to joining PATH, Grant founded and ran his own tax and accounting practice serving individuals, small to medium sized businesses, and non-profits. Prior to starting his own firm Grant served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Foothills Housing Corporation, where he focused on creating a financially sustainable organization, developing operational procedures, and implementing large scale affordable housing projects in the Virginia Piedmont region. Previously, Grant held financial leadership roles with local government authorities in Australia and with major global companies such as Flight Centre and EDF Trading. He also served on the Board of Directors for Direct Employment Services, a non-profit specializing in employment and training services for people with disabilities. Grant is a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) and received his degree in commerce and accounting from James Cook University in Cairns, Australia.

Hanna Lee Rodriguez - Treasurer

Hanna Lee Rodriguez is an attorney with the firm, Walker Jones, PC, in Warrenton, Virginia. Her practice focuses on helping her clients navigate the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianships and conservatorships. She is a member of VAELA, the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where she seeks to improve her knowledge of elder law and special needs issues. John W. McCarthy, III

John McCarthy is the Senior Advisor and Director of Strategic Partnerships, Piedmont Environmental Council. He previously served for three decades as the County Administrator of Rappahannock County. He earned a BA in Geography from Mary Washington College (where he also served as an adjunct professor for 25 years) and a master's degree in Planning from the University of Virginia. Mr. McCarthy's civic and professional engagements have included service as Chair of the Virginia Municipal Liability Insurance Programs, the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation, and the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission. He has also served as a Board member and officer of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Eldercare Coalition, the Rappahannock County Public Library, and the Rappahannock Recreational Facilities Authority, amongst others. He is married to Susan and has four adult children.

Joy Willey

Joy's business background includes twelve years with Capital One including Vice President roles in operations, real estate, and human resources.

Julie Lerudis - CFO

Julie joined the PATH Foundation as its Chief Financial Officer in January 2022. From 2007 through 2021, Julie worked in a variety of senior management positions at the Boettcher Foundation in Denver, Colorado. Most recently, she served as their Director of Finance and Operations, a role which included oversight of the foundation's $370 million endowment. Other positions held were Director of Grant Programs, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Program Officer. Julie is a CPA (Colorado) with more than 25 years of experience in accounting and management in the nonprofit, healthcare, family office and real estate sectors. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting with honors from New Mexico State University and began her career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She is a frequent presenter and panelist on a variety of nonprofit sector and private foundation topics. Her passions are strengthening communities and magnifying impact through leveraging talent and connecting resources. Her family is happy to call Virginia home!

Kelly-Jo Gilkey Settle

Kelly-Jo joined the PATH Foundation as an executive assistant in February 2019. She brings more than 10 years of experience to the role, previously serving as the executive assistant to the regional bank president at Union Bank and Trust. Prior to that, she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary at Rappahannock High School for more than 19 years. She also has a special knack for event planning, and once ran an event planning business with her sister. A lifelong Rappahannock County resident, Kelly-Jo loves being an active member of her community. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, calligraphy and spending time with family.

Lynn Lauritzen

Major Warner

Major Warner is the Associate Superintendent for Fauquier County Public Schools, a position he has held since 2017. Previously, he served as the Principal at Kettle Run High School, and in 2015 was selected as The Washington Post's Distinguished Educational Leader for Fauquier County; the award is presented to one principal in each school district throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. Mr. Warner is married to Lisa, a physical education teacher at H.M. Pearson Elementary, and together with their son, Tre, live near Mr. Warner's parents and siblings. Mr. Warner enjoys spending time with his family and the occasional round of golf.

Margy E. Thomas

Margy Eastham Thomas is a lifelong Fauquier County resident. Margy has a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and a Master of Public Health with concentration in Health Policy, Law & Ethics, both from the University of Virginia. As part of her undergraduate work, Margy studied in Switzerland, working with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative on polio endgame strategies. She was part of the 2020 class of Hull Fellows, the flagship leadership program of Philanthropy Southeast. Margy is an active member of St. James' Episcopal Church and avid community volunteer. She previously worked for the Virginia Center for Health Innovation, the Town of Warrenton, and the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education.

Mary Leigh McDaniel

Mary Leigh McDaniel is a skilled financial expert with more than thirty years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist. Ms. McDaniel is retired managing partner of the accounting firm of Updegrove McDaniel McMullen & Chiccehitto, PLC. Ms. McDaniel was first elected in 2016 to represent the Marshall Magisterial District on the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors. Ms. McDaniel served for two consecutive years as Vice Chair (2018 and 2019). She presided as Chair of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors in 2020. Ms. McDaniel is an engaged leader who has had a successful career and gives back to her community. She has actively participated on various business, community, and nonprofit boards including the Fauquier Hospital Board, the Middleburg Financial Corporation and Access Bank Board of Directors, the Land Trust of Virginia Board, the Warrenton Garden Club, and the Leeds Ruritan Club. Ms. McDaniel was appointed by Governor Kaine to the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority. Additionally, she was designated as a "Super CPA" by Virginia Business Magazine. Ms. McDaniel was named the 2009 Business Person of the Year by the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce. She also received the 2021 Heritage Hero Award from the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association.

Melanie D. Moline

Melanie D. Moline joined the PATH Foundation as an Office Manager in September 2018, following 19 years as a case manager with Fauquier Family Services and the Vint Hill Transitional Housing Program. Melanie's extensive work with community-based nonprofit support created a passion for directly supporting her community, and she is excited to be part of the PATH Foundation's impact. Melanie has lived in Fauquier County since 1991, where she and her husband Rob are currently raising their three children.

Michele Stamper

Michele is a native Virginian who joined the PATH Foundation in 2017. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting (with a minor in business management) from Strayer University, and her master's degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to joining the foundation, Michele's previous accounting experience includes more than 20 years working in private industry with a background in medical, construction and engineering. She has lived in both Fauquier and Culpeper Counties for the past 15 years, and currently resides in Culpeper.

Patricia Woodward

Patricia Woodward grew up in Windham, Connecticut. Pat earned an associate's degree from Hartford College for Women, and she earned a B.A. in American Civilization from Williams College. After college, she earned her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law, graduating in 1980. She has been practicing law in Fauquier County since the fall of 1980. She has been involved in various nonprofit organizations over the years. At the present time, she is Legal Advisor for Altrusa International, Inc. She is a past president of Fauquier County Bar Association, Literacy Volunteers of Fauquier County and the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra. Pat and her husband, Mark Sharp, have lived in Fauquier County since 1985. They have three adult children

Philip RC Dudley

Powell Duggan

Powell Duggan is the general counsel for the PATH Foundation. He received his B.A. in history from George Mason University and his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law. He is a partner in Walker Jones, P.C. and has a practice that focuses on real estate, business issues, contract and civil litigation. Mr. Duggan has served as president of the Fauquier County Bar Association, chair of the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar General Practice Section, and president of the Warrenton Rotary Club. He is married to Nancy. He enjoys canoeing and hiking in his spare time.

Rodger Baker

Rodger Baker joined Fauquier Hospital in 1977 as assistant administrator and was named its president in 1987. His past experience includes a position as an administrative resident at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Baker received an undergraduate degree in biology from New Mexico State University and earned his master's degree in health administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a board member of the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, the Northwestern Virginia Health Systems Agency, and the Northern Virginia Hospital Alliance (Chairman). He is a past member of the Rappahannock-Rapidan sub-area Health Advisory Council, the Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees, Fauquier Chamber of Commerce, Fauquier Chapter of the American Heart Association, and the Fauquier/Culpeper United Way Campaign. His interests include gardening, skiing, and golf. He is married to Sue and has three daughters: Allison, Stephanie and Megan.

Roque Castro

Roque Castro lives in Culpeper, VA and serves as the Chief Commercial Officer for Elysium LD Technology Inc, a financial technology firm that develops workflow automation and risk management software. Before joining Elysium, Roque spent 10 years on Wall Street at two major financial institutions: UBS, the largest bank in Switzerland, and Goldman Sachs, the US-based investment boutique. He held various roles at UBS, culminating in his position as Director of Foreign Exchange (FX) Prime Brokerage Sales. In 2007, Roque was recruited by a former UBS colleague to help establish a new electronic FX trading business at Goldman Sachs; over the next two years, they built FX Alpha Desk. Currently, he serves on the boards of Culpeper Wellness Foundation, Career Partners Inc., and New Pathways Tech.

Sallie Morgan

Sallie served as Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Fauquier from 2011 through 2020, helping the Association take a leadership role in improving access to mental health treatment in the region. Prior to 2011, she served as Director of Community Support Services for Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services for 35 years, supervising mental health programs as well as intellectual disability and aging services. While working for RRCS, she founded the Area Agency on Aging for the region, as well as the community-wide partnership, Aging Together. Sallie continues to chair the Rappahannock Behavioral Health Roundtable and the Rappahannock Aging Together Team, co-chairs the services committee for Rapp at Home, serves on the board of the Rappahannock Association for Arts and Community, and is a member of the PATH grants committee, the PATH Community Advisory Committee and the Rappahannock Public Schools' equity team. Morgan holds a degree in psychology from William and Mary, and a Master's degree from the University of North Carolina. She and her husband Tod live in Washington, VA.

Susan Necci

Susan Bartenstein Necci is a native of Fauquier County. She returned to the area over 15 years ago to be closer to family after living all over Virginia. Susan graduated from Coker College in Hartsville, SC, with degrees in Economics and Business Education. Her career has involved years of work in the customer service and accounting sectors. Since joining the original Fauquier Health Foundation in 2006, Susan has performed various functions relating to the banking and database side of the business. She is now the Financial Analyst for the PATH Foundation.

Susan Rubin

Susan Rubin grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and lived in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Alan, until they moved to Fauquier County in 1976. Over that time, they have owned and operated several businesses, including movie theaters, ice cream stores, and a French restaurant. Susan is currently treasurer of Cone Concepts Unlimited. She attended the University of Maryland majoring in English Literature. Mrs. Rubin is president of the Community Leadership Network and a board member for Friends of Film. She was a founding member of The Moving Arts Center, past president of the Fauquier County Mental Health Association, and volunteered as a teacher's assistant for Head Start for 13 years. Her interests include gardening, travel, tennis, reading, and playing the piano.

Yesenia Reyes

Yesenia Reyes joined the PATH Foundation in 2018 as the Community Link Manager. Prior to joining the PATH Foundation, Yesenia was the Community Outreach Coordinator at Fauquier Health, scheduling classes, lectures, and events for the hospital as well as tending the physician referral line. She previously worked for CFM Management as a Community Service Representative for 5 years. She has a B.A. in Health Science from George Mason University.
