Aidan Scollard

Aidan Scollard is a Dublin-based partner, specialising in audit and advisory services to SMEs and corporates. He actively assists UK companies planning to come to Ireland and Irish companies looking to expand to the UK market. Aidan joined Roberts Nathan as a partner in 2017, with extensive experience spanning over a 30-year career. He has substantial international experience having worked in practices in Ireland, the UK and Belgium during his career including working for a number of Top 10 firms (Including a Top 5 firm). He currently also acts as Auditor to several Irish and UK subsidiaries of large international groups. Aidan has worked with Irish state and UK Government agencies on foreign direct investment (FDI) promotion and has extensive experience in dealing with entrepreneurial businesses. Aidan was previously chair of the SME committee, a member of the Brexit subcommittee and a main board member of the BICC (British Irish Chamber of Commerce). He is currently an Irish member of the British Irish Trading Alliance (BITA) and was the Chair of the Irish advisory committee from 2019 - 2022. He has recently been appointed as a Trustee of the main BITA organisation in the UK and continues to be actively involved. Brendan Kean is our office managing partner, Dublin with a focus on audit, business advisory and strategic planning services. Brendan joined Roberts Nathan as a partner in 2014, he has been key in the development of the practice in the Dublin market. Brendan's experience includes the audit of large international groups, subsidiaries of listed entities combined with audit and advisory services for a range of SME's and growth focused businesses. He has considerable experience in the Charity and Not for Profit (NFP) sector and has developed strong technical skills and extensive expertise in the area of corporate governance. He adds value to client businesses across a wide variety of sectors and supports them as they grow, providing them with efficient tax strategies and helping them meet their compliance obligations. Brendan Murphy

Brendan Murphy is a tax partner, specialising in tax advisory services to both corporates and individuals to ensure efficient tax planning and adherence to all tax compliance obligations. Brendan joined Roberts Nathan as a partner in 2021, bringing over 13 years' experience working as a tax advisor in both "Big 4" and leading mid-sized firms. Brendan's experience extends to tax advice for corporates within areas such as group restructuring, financing structures, IP planning, merger and acquisitions, and international expansion. He also advises shareholders of businesses on exit, succession planning, expansion plans and investment, and has a strong specialist background in advising both domestic and international corporates of all sizes. He has assisted many international companies relocating to Ireland focusing on areas such as funding, relocating employees and transfer pricing advice. Having previously worked in the UK he is well placed to help companies and individuals on cross border planning. His international experience is also useful for advising individuals on their tax implications of returning to Ireland following a period abroad. Brendan has significant expertise providing advice to clients across a range of industries including technology, financial services, manufacturing, construction, start-ups and renewable energy.
