Wight Bus Lines is a family owned and run business that has been in operation since 1962 which was founded by Lyle Wight. In 1976 the company was purchased by Larry Ainsworth, who had many years prior experience in the School Bus Industry. In 1984, Larry's Son Geoff became General Manager. Larry's other son's Jim Ainsworth is Manager of the Point Edward Division, and Paul Ainsworth is Assistant Manager of the Petrolia Division... In September 2009, Wight Bus Lines absorbed Point Edward's Dinyer Bus Lines, busses, drivers and routes, thus doubling the size of the company.
